Chapter 3

A few minutes later,we arrived at a river with a little bridge.We got out of the car and went to the bridge.It was already dark and the dim light of the little lanterns lighted up the way to the bridge.The stars were reflected in the water of the river.
We stood on the bridge,looking at the shimmering water.It was so quiet,because no one else was there.I had a smile on my face the whole time.It was so beautiful.I looked at Shawn and saw the stars sparkling in his eyes.
''This is so beautiful Shawn.Thank you for bringing me here.'' I said with a big smile.
''No problem.I had to try to save this evening,after it got destroyed.I'm really sorry.''he answered chuckling a bit.
''No Shawn.This was a perfect evening.For real.I can't thank you enough for this.For everything.I know you only since yesterday,but it feels like I've known you for years.I'm so thankful for that.You're the first person,I can truly trust in such a short time.''
I don't know why,but my eyes started to fill up with tears.Oh god.Why?I'm so stupid.Why do I have to ruin everything? As he noticed that tears started to grow in my eyes,he hugged me tightly.
''shhh...don't cry.It's okay.''he said with a soft voice.
We sat down on the bridge.He still was holding me in his arms.It felt so good.I felt so save in his arms.I wished this day would never end.

We just sat there for one more hour,looking up into the sky with brightly shining stars.It already was pretty late, so we decided to go back to the car.
The car ride was quiet,because I was very tired.I could feel my eyelids getting heavier.The next thing I noticed was that Shawn carefully lifted me up.I slowly opened my eyes.I looked around and saw that we already arrived by my aunt's house.Shawn looked at me and chuckled quietly.
''Do you have your keys with you?''he asked with a soft voice.
''Yeah.''I replied sleepy.
I took my keys out of my pocket,as he took them and opened the door.
He carried me into the house.I had to smile a little bit.
My aunt and Emma were already asleep.Still half asleep,I showed him the direction to my room.Shawn carried me carefully into my room and laid me down on my bed.
I somehow managed it to take off my shoes and laid back down.
''Shawn,I'm sorry that I ruined the evening.''I mumbled with my eyes closed.
''What- What do you mean?''he asked very confused.
I slowly opened my eyes again.
''I- I don't know why I started crying...You must think that I'm stupid...''I mumbled the last part,but he still heard it.
He sat down next to me and laid his arm around me.
''Look.You haven't ruined anything.It's okay.I will never judge you for something like that.I know that life can be very hard sometimes, but remember:I'm always here for you,no matter what happens.I promise.''he said,stroking my back.
I felt so much more better.
''Thank you Shawn.For everything.''I said smiling.He smiled at me too.
As I closed my eyes,I felt that he kissed my forehead.I slightly smiled.I felt him stroking my back for a while,when I finally started drifting into sleep.
Then I woke up again,because Shawn stood up.
''I gotta go,Phoebe.''he whispered.
I slightly opened my eyes.
''See you tomorrow.Sleep well.''he kissed my cheek and walked out of my room.I had a big smile on my face,drifting into sleep again.
