Dizzy. Hypothermia. Death. Wounds. Idiots.

These were all things that came to mind when Alex thought about Islands. Now, at least.

She was leaning onto Ren, eyes closed, as he fiddled with things on the floor, his legs crossed. Nona had her knees crossed as she sat on the edge of the ferry. Clarissa was pacing around the place like a maniac, probably trying to figure out which position of her old boyfriend she should masturbate to next. Then Jonas was.. he was leaning on the side, alone, smoking another cigarette. His third today, Alex should warn him. He was obsessed.

Though, she didn't. She was too deprived of motivation to do so.
Ren stretched, yawning, making her shift on him again for the sixth time and questioned her. "Why the hell are you laying on me!? I know I'm a perfect pillow, a marshmallow, but seriously! I'm trying to do something."

Alex chuckled, crossing her arms. "I'm lazy and you won't slap me in the face and you were the closest. Plus, you're making an airplane."

She watched amusingly as Ren's cheeks reddened while he picked up what he made and showed it to her. "It's not just an airplane. It's a German fighter from WWI. The layout was hard to make, but with paint, I could use this as my new art project for school!"

She shook her head in dismay and Clarissa piped in. "If you two are done flirting, we're almost to the Island."

"Why are we here again?" Jonas asked, throwing his cigarette in the water and walking over to us.

"Because you didn't go last year and it was supposed to be tradition!" Clarissa scolded, glaring. "Honestly, I don't know how lucky you have to be to get such a brother, Alex."

"Step-brother," Jonas and Alex corrected in unison. They were technically step-siblings, their mom and dad married each other, making them siblings-by-law, or step-siblings for short.

Nona sighed. "You two were meant for each other," she commented, watching them both carefully, kicking her legs now.

Ren nudged me. "Now, now. Stop fighting. We are almost to the Island! See?" He pointed wayward and we all looked except for Clarissa, who yelled, "I already said that!"

"Sorry, we don't speak bitch," Alex said nonchalantly, smirking. Jonas cracked a laugh and so did Ren. When they realized, they stopped and glared at each other for decades.

The girls watched the boys fight mentally, with no words said, just thought before Jonas rolled his eyes and looked away. Ren cheered and bounced up. "Come on!" He beamed, running up the stairs. "We gotta Island to catch."

Alex's PoV

I don't think I like islands. They look deserted and terribly taken care of, unless it was just this one.

Jonas hopped off the ferry like nothing, no ladder included like he was some kind of badass. Ren scurried off and onto the sand, before running to the edge of the deck, by the water, laughing, and throwing water at the first boy. Nona sighed as she calmly walked off, Clarissa and I following behind her.

"If you two are done with your date, we have to get to the campfire," I said, waving them to come as all girls continued in the town, passing stores that were closed, everything the same.

Ren and Jonas scowled and they both got out of the water, soaking wet from their water fight. "He started it," Jonas said as Ren said, "I want a divorce."

Jonas and I stopped in our tracks and Ren remembered why. "Gah," he exclaimed. "I didn't mean-! Well, yeah, I kinda did-.. But I wasn't really meaning about you guys and, uh- argh..!"

Jonas punched his arm as I kicked his shin, leaving him in a owing mess of hops and really?'s. Then we both continued on our way like nothing happened.

Last year, Jonas became my new brother because my dad and mom divorced, because of reasons we shall not speak of, and I have no idea what happened to Jonas' mom, but we hate people mentioning divorce because that's what got us into this hell hole we live in now.

Clarissa stopped, making me bump into her with a little sound, but she didn't scold me for not looking where I was looking. She turned to Jonas and pointed at him.

"Does this remind you of anything?" She questioned, raising a brow with her other hand on her hip, cocking it.

Jonas was dumbfounded. "No?" He responded. "This is my first time being here, I didn't even want to come."

"That's what you said last time," She muttered under breath before turning and continuing urgently.

I must've been the only one to hear it, but, in my bag, I grasped the radio I'd stocked in so we could finally communicate to ghosts or listen to weird signals that aren't even supposed to exist. That was what this island did and I intended on figuring out the truth.

So. This is my first Oxenfree fanfiction. I know there are not much, and Oxenfree is a game I only found a couple days ago, but I'm obsessed. I've watched it enough to memorize character looks and personalities, which takes much focus in a small game, but this game has much dialogue so I can really explain someone and everything.

What do you think Clarissa was talking about when she asked about when she asked Jonas about if the island deminded him of anything?

I have a 'close-to-something' plot and have it thought out. But, for readers, I may switch it from ideas from readers and stuff like that.

Well, till next time, my All-ye All-ye All-Are-Free friends.
