                     ( chapter 7)

           It was a brand new fresh day after recovering. I opened the windows to the warm heat of the sun. Nothing like the sun to start off a Saturday. As you can tell, I'm a morning person.

  

    I skipped to  the bathroom relieved that I wasn't in the hospital.

       I stepped in the shower feeling the steam over my body. I listened to the sound of the water going down the drain.

          I tiptoed downstairs trying not to wake up my siblings.

       I saw my mom humming while cooking some omelettes. Hmm omelettes are the best. I thought. "Good morning pumpkin how was your sleep?"

    "Better." I said sighing as the thought of Trevor filled my mind.

        There was something behind that hard shell,he was broken. I mentally shrugged.

        " Sweety if something is wrong then you can tell me." My mom said frowning.

  " No I'm fine mom I'm just ready to get my tummy filled." I said laughing at my joke.

     " If you say so." My mom said placing a  plate on the table and serving me the food. I took a bite and felt like I was in cloud nine.

       I finished up my plate and put it in the dishwasher. 

  " The food was amazing." I said.

  "I know, it always is". My mom said with her cocky self. I giggled.

        I went upstairs to my room closing the door. I bounced on my bed plugging in my headphones. the soft sound of ' will you marry me' by Jason Derulo played.

        I'm a hopeless romantic the song is so romantic and I wish I can find love, but not now. Right now I just wanna have fun and live care-free... But look at how that turned out. I stopped daydreaming and selfie by chain smokers  started playing. Ugh sister changed my ringtone. I picked up the phone.

       Jake: "Hey are you okay  I heard you got in a car crashed. " He said anxiously waiting for me to reply.

me: "Well I'm okay , that's what the doctor said."

Jake: "Oh I was wondering if you'd like to go somewhere like the park just to chill... I mean if you want to. Uf you wanna go som-"

me: "Sure." I said giggling and blushing at his blabbing. "And let's go to Starbucks."

Jake: "Okay then I'll pick you up at 12:00 pm."

me: "Bye bestieee"

Jake: "Byee "

 

     I was excited. I mean this was a date? right? I shrugged. Realizing its a friend date.

       You might be wondering why I would even consider this a date.

       I always had a crush on my best friend. He was not a player he was a funny cute and knows how to treat a lady sorta guy. I noticed by watching how he treated my best friend chiane.

      I tried to hide my feeling because I would never hurt chiane and my relationship with her. She's dating Jake and plus its just a tiny crush I reminded myself.

      I snapped out of my dream and went to reality. I had 30 mins to get ready. I put on light makeup. I curled my waves. I wore my ripped skinny jean and a crop top saying #selfie.

     I looked at the mirror from head to toe and I looked decent. I put on deodorant and stuff.

    I went downstairs. "Were are  you going?" My mom said raising a eyebrow.

 

  "Oh Starbucks with Jake."

" Oh then have fun and be safe." She said knowing Jake wouldn't hurt me.

    I walked outside has I saw Jake waiting.

   "Get." I said . I took a glance at him he had a skinny jean with a black shirt and sneakers. My eyes met with his deep brown eyes and I stared at him like a freak.

  "Enjoying the view?" He said amused.

" Yea.." " Wait what no! I mean no I wasn't staring!" I said has i felt heat rising up in my cheek. I mentally smacked myself.

  "Okay okay." He said laughing.

     I stepped in the car taking deep breaths.

  "Are you okay?" He said.

  "No! Hello I was in a car crash now I have this big thing with cars." I said. "Oh."

We talked and laughed.

  We arrived . I got out the car and into the coffee shop. We got on the line and waited 3 mins till it was our turn.

  "how may I help you?" Jake ordered two bagels and tea.

  "Um can I get a pumpkin spice latte?" I said feeling confident about my order.

      We sat down and small talked for 5 mins. Jake already got his order. "Cappuccino!". I walked to the register and took my drink handing a 5 dollar bill  that jake gave me to the lady.I sat down.

 

   "So what's been going on lately " Jake said while eating his crunchy bagel.

 

   " Nothing important just car crash bad dream and leg cramps." I said sarcastically. Jake giggled at my sarcasm.

  "Everything happens for a reason..."

 "That means that I should of gotten hit my a car?" I said raising my eyebrow. "That's for eating my ice cream." Jake said giggling.

         We talked for 2 hours. "o gosh time past so fast!" I said realizing 2 hours had gone by.

  " Well I had a great time." Jake said.

 

  " Me too and plus your so corny." I said. " Am not!"

"Are too!" I said as I felt a pain in my belly and realized Jake was tickling me.

" Haha stop! Stop I give up!" I said defeated.

   

      " Well I'll drop you off home." Jake offered.

  " Nah I can walk its down the block just so you know."

"Come on." Jake hesitated.

"Fine." I went inside the car. By the time I went inside the car I was home. 

     I stepped out the car. " Bye." I said waving at Jake as he stayed inside the car.

"Bye." He said.
