Chapter Four - Well this is cheerful.
The next morning was a blur of shouts, chatter, and food. Molly Weasley had lost count of the amount of times she had had to reprimand the twins for playing pranks on their siblings. Harry and Ginny were deliberately trying to avoid each other. Ron and Hermione blushed profusely whenever they made eye contact. Teddy sat with his parents and tried to keep his forced smile on his face when they asked him questions of the future. The children from the future got to know the younger versions of their aunts and uncles and answered their questions with pleasure.
Sirius, however, couldn't help the feeling that something was off. He noticed small things in the stories that the future kids told. He noticed the way they acted differently around some of them to how they did the others. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen. He watched as Harry spoke to Albus, chuckling to himself at the thought of Harry being a father. He was overcome with a strong feeling of pride and admiration for the boy.
At the end of the table, Harry sat with Albus. They had been talking about Albus and his siblings until Harry suddenly looked as if he wanted to ask a very serious question.
"I know what you're going to ask me." Albus sighed.
"What?" Harry quickly looked up.
"You want to know why you named me after Professor Snape?" Albus said raising a brow.
"Well, yeah, kind of." Harry sheepishly replied.
"All I know, is what you told me." Albus started. When Harry didn't say anything he continued. "You told me that Professor Snape was the bravest man you ever knew. There was one other thing but I'm not sure I can say right now."
"I think Ron was right." Harry sighed. "I must have been drunk."
"Do you really think my mum would have let you be drunk when I was born?" Albus raised his brow.
Harry chanced a glance over at Ginny, who walk talking to Lily and Hugo, and smiled to himself.
"No, I guess not."
They were interrupted when Lily came over to them. She walked up to Harry, stopping next to his chair. Harry looked down at the girl and smiled as much as he could manage.
"Teddy said that the reason you're awkward around me is because you don't know me, so I came to introduce myself again." Lily smiled innocently.
"Oh, okay?" Harry said uncertainly.
"Hello, my name is Lily Luna Potter, I am seven years old, my favourite colour is blue and I like to ride broomsticks with my brothers." Lily told him.
"Lily, what are you doing?" Al asked.
"I told you, I'm introducing myself, then he will know who I am and he won't feel awkward around me." Lily informed him.
"Lils, he's not awkward because he doesn't know you. He's awkward because you're his child from the future and he's probably overwhelmed and surprised." Albus said.
Lily's face fell as she listened to her brother. She had hoped that once Harry knew who she was, he would stop acting like she was a complete stranger and start acting like her Dad again.
