Courtney's POV ( The Day Before the Meet and Greet)
"OH MY GOSH!! GUESS WHAT I GOT GUYS?!"
I shot up out of bed searching for what had made that ruckus until someone ran into the room. Then I realized who it was and glanced at the clock. Seven in the morning!!!!! Why is anyone up this early during the summer.
"CHRISTIE, why are you waking up this early," I yelled.
"I have important news to tell you guys," Christie replied, " And I need Candace so I can tell you both at the same time."
"CANDACE, GET IN HERE SO I CAN GO BACK TO BED!" I yelled just as she was walking in.
"Good Morning Sleeping Beauty, did you not get enough of your beauty sleep?" Candace taunted.
"No, now tell me your news Christie."
Christie started, "Your not going to believe this but I got three passes to the ONE DIRECTION MEET AND GREET tomorrow, and you two are both coming with me."
Instantly both me and Candace groaned while I also threw a pillow at Christie.
"That is the worst idea you could have," I said while Candace nodded her head. I hate One Direction. "I am not going."
"Well that's too bad, you two are going to come with me and give me support me as I meet my gorgeous spouse-to-be Harry Styles. You two are going to find a way to be happy about going so that I can be happy!" She said.
"NO!" Candace replied.
"Fine I'll take you to lunch afterwards."
Ooh. She knew how to get me and Candace to go. Give us food. "Fine we'll go. Candace, me and you will discuss strategy on the way to work today. OK?"
"Alright," Candace says.
"Now leave so I can get ready to go to work. Hey Christie honey, would you start making breakfast for me. I'll be more happier at your meet and greet tomorrow," I say.
"Fine, get ready," she says as both her and Candace walk out.
I get out of bed and go into the bathroom to shower. Following the quick shower, I dry off and but on my work shirt, denim short shorts, and a pair of white converses. I head back to the bathroom and begin my hair. I guess I should explain a bit about myself. I am eighteen years old and just graduated from high school. Me and my three friends moved out immediately following graduation into our own apartment that we have been living in for about a month now. Candace and I work at a store called Randy's Music Shop and enjoy writing and singing songs. Christie is working as a waiter at a small cafe and plans to attend college in the fall. Candace are planning to save up more money go to college to study music. One more thing about Christie, she loves One Direction and swears she is going to marry one of them. I am not sure she actually cares which one even though she talks about Harry a lot. As for me and Candace, we know who they are but aren't very big fans.
I finish my hair after brushing it and putting it up in a ponytail. I didn't bother with any makeup becuase I fail to see the point of it on some people. In fact, I don't think I own it. I only put it on when Candace or Christie make me put it on.
I left the bathroom, grabbed my phone and purse and left my room where I went to the kitchen. When I arrived I noticed that Christie had made eggs and bacon for me, only she left a message for me with the bacon. The bacon was cut to say "Please be happy." Immediately I busted out laughing and looked over at Candace's plate and noticed it had a similar message. As Candace emerged from her bedroom and saw the message, she started to laugh as well. As we started to calm down, I looked at the clock.
"Oh geez! We need to leave!" Both me and Candace quickly ate our breakfast and grabbed our stuff as we flew out the door. As I left I said, "See you later tonight Christie!"
"Bye Christie," yelled Candace.
As we started to walk to work, we began to discuss our strategy for the meet and greet. I had already been thinking of several ways we could make it fun for us and threw several of them at Candace. But then I thought of my best idea yet and started the explanation.
I begin, "I've got it! Were going to make a bet between each other and we can't tell Christie about this AT ALL, OK? So were going to see which one of us can get one of the boys of One Direction's or give them ours, then try to be the first one to go on three dates with them. Hanging out with them doesn't count as a date and it has to be just with you and one of the boys. Sound good so far?"
"Few questions. First, what is the prize if you win? Second, isn't this kind of rude since we will be toying with people's feelings?"
"I think the prize will be buying movie tickets for the person for a year, as well as popcorn and drinks while there. And no, I don't think it is bad to do this. Can people really get attached to someone after only going out on three dates."
Candace replied hesitantly, " Alright, I guess this will make things interesting and can give us something to do this summer. Another rule I think we need is that they need to ask you on the date, you can't ask them, OK?"
"Alright, it's on!" I say just as we arrive at work. We both check in and begin our shift. It seemed to take forever today because there were few customers and I couldn't help but think about how I would get one of the boys to ask me out.
Halfway through the shift a man with blonde hair walked in and started talking to Candace a buying a new guitar. I couldn't help but notice that he spoke with an Irish accent. Candace began to help him decide what to buy while I stood to the side observing. He seemed very familiar to me, but couldn't place where I could have seen him. After he purchased a guitar and left, my thoughts about him seem to vanish as well.
Finally, our shift ended and we walked back home quietly because we were both strategizing for the event tomorrow. As we arrived home, we quickly ate dinner and I went to bed early since I was feeling tired and wanted to be ready for tomorrow.
Day of the Meet and Greet
We finally made it to the meet and greet and it was crazy here. I was starting to second guess my decision to come here. Christie, Candace, and I had to enter the line outside of the building that boys of one direction were in.
After about 45 minutes of waiting outside, we finally made it inside where the line was just as long. As I glanced at the table I noticed the man with blonde hair instantly.
"Hey Candace," I whispered, "He came into the shop yesterday I think."
"I just noticed him as well. Maybe he'll be the one I go after." She replied. "But I think you should go for the brunette starting right at you. You got his attention."
I looked up and noticed him staring but quickly looked away. I then purposely started to look bored as a part of my plan to keep his attention. I knew this would work because there not used to people not liking. I then glanced at my friends next me. Christie was jumping up and down rapidly and looked like she was about to explode from excitement. What Candace was doing shocked me way more than expected. She was continuously making funny faces at Niall. I think that's what his name is. Her strategy appeared to be working because his eyes stayed on here.
Not only was Candace's strategy working, but I though mine was too becuase the the brunette was still focused on me. I noticed the Liam, I think it was, and Niall were talking and I noticed Liam blush during the conversation. Weird.
Finally we made to the table and Christie finally exploded. "OH MY GOODNESS! I can't believe I'm meeting you! Picture please!" They gladly posed for a picture and then Liam's and Niall's eyes focused on me and Candace.
I slowly approached Liam trying to act all shy and said "Hi, my name is Courtney."
