Once we reached the library we were greeted by Professor Snape standing in the doorway silently nodding at students who entered."Morning Professor Snape" I said attempting to make the dark and quiet man say something in return which to my surprise he did.

"Miss Y/L/N" he said with a nod. I smiled and he gave a quick smirk back as Draco and I walked past him.

"Ok did you see that?" Draco said turning to look at me while walking.

"See what?" I asked confused

"Snape smiled." He said sounding a bit freaked out

"Did he?" I said looking back slightly.

"Well it was less a smile and more of a smirk but still." He said trying to grab my attention so I wouldn't look back at the professor. "You literally made the most difficult and moody professors in Hogwarts smile." He said looking me in he eyes.

"Well that's the product of a good mood Draco" I said with a smile."Maybe you should try it sometime" I stuck out my tongue

He chuckled "Yeah yeah complain at me later. We need to find a book on thunderbirds." He smiled nudging me lightly. We then made our way to the correct shelf where books on magical creatures were and began looking for one labeled thunderbirds. We both seemed to find it at the same time and reached for it causing our hands to touch. I blushed and pulled my hand away. Draco also seemed to be blushing and moved as well but seconds later he grabbed the book. He cleared his throat and placed the book on the table. He sat down and I sat down next to him. Afterwards he opened the book and I took out a piece of blank parchment so we could begin writing.

"Is your hand writing better or is mine?" I said looking at him.

"Not sure. Probably yours though. Mine is rather hard to read." He said taking out a pencil and writing his name on the paper in very neat cursive.

"Nope. Your is better." I said looking at what he wrote.

He laughed quietly and I passed him the paper in exchange for him passing me the book. I began reading and he wrote what I said in his own words to avoid plagiarism and a letter grade lower(Snape was a harsh grader).After a few minutes of reading he stopped writing.

"You know. I usually don't start projects until a few days before they are due." He said looking up at me and putting the pencil down.

"Really?" I said looking confused. "Big bad stay between the lines Draco Malfoy?" I said turning to him.

He laughed "Yes really." He massaged his hand(Which was probably sore from writing in cursive) then picked the pencil back up and gave me a silent cue to continue reading so I did. After what seemed like three minutes Snape called out that we had only a few minutes left and that if possible we should come back to the library later to do more research. I closed the book and put it back on the shelf as Draco handed me the pencil he had been writing with. I put it in my bag along with the parchment he was writing the essay on.

"What do you have now?" He said (Forgetting that now it had been time for lunch)

"Draco." I looked at him. "Are you ok?"

"Yes. Why?" He looked confused.

"It's lunch now." I said holding back a laugh.

He face palmed. "Oh wow I must be really tired or something" he chuckled.

"Yeah" I laughed.

He grabbed his bag and we began walking to the great hall. As we walked Draco took out the parchment I handed him earlier that was crumpled up and he was looking at It like it contained plans that could improve his life forever(I really doubt that I did though because it was crumpled after all). I was compelled to know what it was so I asked."What's that?"

He looked up at me like he had forgotten that I was there. "Its nothing really just something that I should probably do." He glanced back down at it.

"Oh ok" I smiled. He smiled back. Eventually we reached the great hall and I waved as we parted ways. He went to sit with Pansy and his other "Friends" and I joined Luna, Ginny and a few of my other friends at another table. I sat down next to Luna and across from Ginny. I sighed as I glanced at Draco.

"Honestly what do you see in him Y/N/N" Ginny said moving to block me from looking at Draco.

"He isn't that bad Ginny. He is honestly just trying to stay at the top. He is nice once you get him to talk to you alone." I said half swooning.

"He has been extremely rude to Harry, Ron, Hermione and so many others what do you mean nice?" She said growing agitated.

"Ginny if Y/N says he is nice we should trust her. Even if he is not." Luna said trying to calm Ginny.

"Come on guys I know he is rich and all that crap but he is a good guy." I said stealing a chip from Ginny.

"Hey-" she said pulling her food away from me.

I smiled and stuck out my tongue "Besides I'm not the only love stuck one here." I taunted.

"Y/N no-" Ginny said looking at me hastily.

"Y/N yes" I said smirking. "Hey Harr-" I started but then was cut off by Ginny putting her hand over my mouth which I then pulled off. "Harry!" I continued smirking.

"Oh. It. Is. On." Ginny said grabbing my arm and smirking back. "Hey Malfoy!" She yelled turning around.

I pulled her back and turned her to look at me "do not"

"I'll do it."she said bluffing(Or I hope she was)

"Truce! Truce please" I said glancing at a confused Draco who was now looking at my table.

"Hmm...okay, Truce." She said offering a handshake which I accepted seconds later. After about a minute Draco made his way over to my table and stood behind Ginny.

"What did you want Weasley?" He said looking down at her.

"Oh I was gonna say something but then I forgot what it was." She said neglecting to turn toward him.

He waved to me and then shrugged and walked back over to his table and I sighed in relief as students began to gather there things to go to their next classes.
