Jesse's POV
It has been a whole 3 years after the fight with the Admin. Also 3 years after I left Petra's side to be with Beacontown. I felt bad since I had told Petra that I'd always be with her, but I had something very important to do. I was going to confess my feelings for Lukas. I have felt fond of him ever since we set out to find the Order of the Stone, but I never said anything mainly because I am seen as a male hero. And when you think about happily ever after, you don't think of "JESSE AND LUKAS- THE (GAY) WARRIOR COUPLE" right away, do you?
But after the battle(sssssss) with the Admin, I realized that life is too short and you need to take chances while you can.
So I worked up the courage and I was going to make sure that Lukas and I were alone, working on a book of his or something. Then I would tell him that I think that it is awesome that we are such close friends and if he does something that signals that he has something else to say then I'll tell him that I love him! Simple, right?
