A/N omg this took forever I'm so sorry, although at least it's over 1000 words. I'll try to update more often now that it's summer (I still have a job tho) ty hope you like it <3
Kyle was walking to Stan's house when he met up with Kenny again.
"Hey Ken," Kyle smiled at the blond. Kenny muffled back a hello, and a flirty comment. Kyle rolled his eyes at Kenny. They quickly made it to Stan's front door, walking in immediately as they've been to Stan's so often for practicing their play.
They walked in to see Stan destroying Cartman at Halo Reach. Stan paused the game when the others walked in and greeted them.
"Hey, can we join?" Kenny put his hood down.
" Yeah, fam, join so we can start. You too, Kyle," Stan replied. The two boys say down, each grabbing a controller.
Several hours pass, Cartman eventually getting bored after losing so much.
"This fucking sucks, let's watch a movie," Cartman declared. Stan giving him a look, he changed the TV settings.
" How about Saw? " Kenny offered. Stan started pulling out the movie from his TV stand. Kyle frowned at the movie choice, his fears getting the best of him again.
It was only 10 minutes into the movie when Kyle started shaking. His small form trembled as he tried not to scream or cry. His fears stemmed from childhood mishaps, like watching a kid eat his own parents made into chili. Kyle covered his eyes, angry at himself for getting unsettled so easy, for crying out loud, he was a teenager.

Regardless of his self talk, he was still upset with all the screaming in the room. Kyle, deciding he'd had enough, ran out of the room. He didn't get lost purely because of all the sleepovers they had at Stan's. He ran to the upstairs bathroom with tears in his eyes, locking the door so no one would come in and know he was crying, although they could probably figure.
Closing the door did not, however, stop Kenny from banging on the door, stressed with worry.
"Kyle!" He yelled, "What's wrong? Are you okay?" Kyle glanced at the door, quickly wiping his face with his shirt and standing up. He looked in the mirror to see his eyes were red, even though he didn't have enough time to fix himself. He hesitantly grabbed the door knob and opened the door, looking down in embarrassment and fear of what his best friend would say.
He was startled when he felt warm arms desperately pull him into a tight hug.
"Oh my god, Kyle, are you okay?" Kenny asked the shorter boy, still embracing him.
" I'm-" Kyle began, cut off by his own sobs. Kenny hugged him tighter, shrinking the two of them to the floor slowly so they could sit together, not letting go of Kyle for a second. Kenny began quietly shushing him, holding him close until he stopped crying.
"It's okay, Kyle. Just breathe, watch me, see?" Kenny pulled Kyle away a few inches so he could see Kenny breathing in large, long breaths, compared Kyle's hyperventilating .
After several minutes of Kenny comforting Kyle, He pulled away and asked him again if he was okay.
"Yeah, I just- I've been so stressed because what if the play goes wrong or someone misses a line, or the backdrops aren't good enough? What if we fail and I never get to go to college? Then we start watching Saw and everything started coming down on me because I actually hate horror movies but you guys love them and-"
"Kyle, Kyle, it's fine, don't worry," Kenny interrupted Kyle, cupping his face in his hands to make Kyle look him in the eye. "Everything will work out, okay? We'll do great, everyone's been working hard, including you. Also, if you didn't like horror movies, why didn't you tell us? Why didn't you tell me?" Kyle started tearing up, putting Kenny into a tight hug again, his arms around his best friend's neck.
" I'm so sorry Kenny" Kyle said, muffled by his face in Kenny's parka.
"No, I should be the one that's sorry, If you don't trust me I'm situations like this, then it's my fault."
"But it's not your fault. I'm the one who didn't say anything."
"Then let's agree to disagree," Kenny whispered, inches away from Kyle's face, a small smile playing on his lips. Both boys went quiet and still, staring into each other's eyes, completely transfixed on the boy across. Kenny glanced down at Kyle's lips. Kyle felt something burn within him. He was the first to move, slowly edging toward Kenny, an inch away from Kenny's plump lips. He closed his eyes waiting for the contact that he was so dying for.
"Hey, is Kyle o-" Stan stopped in his tracks a few feet from them. Both Kenny and Kyle jumped away from their positions, where Kyle has ended in in Kenny's lap from the tight hug.
"Stan! Um- Everything's cool now, doing great," Kyle chuckled nervously. Kenny scratched the back of his neck, equally embarrassed. Stan looked between the two of them.
"That's.. Cool. Anyway, we were wondering if you guys wanna finish the movie, since it's only nine?" Stan asked, seeming to recover quickly from the incident seconds ago. Kenny stood straighter.
"Nah, let's do something else," Kenny said, shifting from foot to foot. They all walked back to Stan's room, sitting in the middle of the floor in a semi-circle.
" we could play spin the bottle?" Stan asked. The other boys shook their heads.
"What if we played something cheesy like truth or dare?" Kyle offered. They all looked hesitant. "Oh, come on. It's not like we have anything better to do."
" I guess we could. Who's going first?" Kenny asked.
"Kenny! Truth or dare?" Cartman yelled, startling everyone.
Kenny chuckled," Dare."
Stan and Kyle looked back and forth between the other two, waiting to see what was going to happen.
"I dare you to get on the roof, " Cartman smirked. Kenny scoffed.
"Easy," he stated, getting up from his sitting position. Kenny walked over to Stan's window, with everyone except Cartman holding their breath. Kenny easily opened the window and put his right food on the window sill, making eye contact with Kyle for a split second. He sighed and, holding onto the side, say on the sill. He pushed himself the rest of the way out.
"See? Easy!" Kenny yelled back.
"I meant the top, not the side, " Cartman snickered. Kenny let out another sign and got a grip on the shingles, and with one heavy push, he was standing on the roof. He started climbing up, step by step. He slowed a bit to look for the best grips. He took a step forward-
and slipped.
"Kenny!" Kyle and Stan screamed, with Cartman looking terrified and his mouth wide open, obviously not wanting to be responsible for another murder. Kenny gasped, quickly grabbing on to the gutter. He climbed back up quickly and immediately went for the window. Kyle sighed in relief, smiling.
"Maybe that's enough for one night?" Stan asked. All of them nodded. At once, they started getting out their 'pajamas' out of their backpacks (although, being the teenage boys they are and also growing up together meant their pj's were a different shirt and boxers). They all changed in the same room, too tired to care.
After setting up their pillows and blankets on the floor, Kyle and Kenny laid down. Stan got into his bed and Cartman slept next to Stan's bed on the other side. Kyle and Kenny faced each other, curled up in blankets. Suddenly, Kyle spoke.
"It scared the shit out of me when you slipped, Ken," Kenny opened his eyes to see an unsettled Kyle. "Promise you won't do something stupid like that again," He said, looking at Kenny expectantly. A stern look appeared on Kenny's face.
"I promise, Kyle," he wrapped his arms around the smaller boy. " Everything will turn out okay, I promise."
They stayed cuddled together all night.
Fuck, I think I'm in love. Kyle thought.
