Belarus, a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, is known for its Stalinist architecture, grand fortifications and primeval forests. In the modern capital, Minsk and largest city of the Republic of Belarus, situated on the Svislach and Nyamiha rivers, the monumental KGB Headquarters loom over Independence Square, while the Museum of the Great Patriotic War commemorates the country's role in WWII. The capital is also home to many churches, including the neo-Romanesque Church of Saints Simon and Helena. Belarus borders five countries: Latvia to the north, Lithuania to the northwest, Poland to the west, Russia to the north and the east, and Ukraine to the south. About 40% of Belarus is covered by forests.

Then, Niasviž Castle or Nesvizh Castle, a residential castle of the Radziwiłł family in Niasviž, Belarus. It is 183 metres (600 ft) above sea level. From 1921 to 1939 the complex was in Poland and was considered one of the most beautiful Polish castles in the Kresy region.
