LAUREN! i shouted, i quickly ran to her and gave her a long tight hug.
You really missed me did you?
'Ofcourse.
Well lets go inside the cafe i heard they serve the best expresso here in South Shields.
I nodded in response.
So what you've been doing this last 2 years? She ask while taking a sip from her coffee.
'Well after i graduate i instantly looked for a job then i got in and worked as the janitress, long story short after all my hard work i am currently the owner of the company.
Wow Edwards i'm impressed.
'What about you Lo? Do you have any business or stuff?
Well i work at a music shop in America and yup that's pretty much it.
We continued to talk until our topic went to the dating scene.
'So Jauregui are you dating anyone at this moment? I said while wiggling my eyebrows.
Silly Pez ofcourse not my heart still belongs to someone, she said while looking deeply into my eyes.
I could see the love and truthfulness in it, her gaze suddenly softened my hard heart.
Then suddenly the uncomfortable silence appeard.
Um yeah, she said as she took a sip from her coffee.
'May i know who is that someone? I ask.
You really wanna know?
'Yes Lauren i do, i smiled.
It's you Pez
i could feel my face turning red.
Then she continued.
It's always been you, she added.
'Lauren.... i said quitely.
You already moved on right?
Then that hit me, did i already moved on? There are so many thoughts in my mind.
I see, then she frowned.
'No it's not like that, i explained.
Pez ever since we met i can't get you off my mind. I didn't ask you out it's because you were still with Jade, then when she left you i don't wanna take advantage of you so i waited 2 years. Now here i am 2 years later still confessing my love for you, Um pez would you like to go out on a date with me?
I was shocked i never thought someone could be loyal to me. It's been 2 years so maybe going out on a date wouldn't hurt. Then i realized i wasn't still answering her question.
'Lauren i didn't expect you would wait for me and i appreciated that. I replied
So is that a yes? She smiled.
'Yes, i smiled back
Skip cafe scene
'So when is our date?
We were just heading out and going to work, i invited her so that i could have someone to talk to.
Hmm maybe 3 or 4 days later? Is that good? She looked at me.
'Ofcourse.
We were infront of my car i was about to get in and bid my goodbye when she suddenly held my wrist and held me closer to her.
Um Pez? She ask, her breath hitting my face.
'Hmm?
Can i do this?
She started leaning in and i had no choice but to also lean in. I stopped when our face are just centimeters away, 'Sure, i replied.
Then she smiled before kissing me, it was a slow passionate kiss. She pulled away and said Wow.
'I know, well see you at my office. I said as i went inside my car.
Then she went to her own car and started driving away. When i was inside my car i feel like my inner self is telling me something.
Half of it is telling that i'll be happy but the other half is telling that this is wrong, but i managed to shove it away.
Skip car ride
Welcome back Ms. Edwards the lady greeted me.
'Thank you, i replied.
Then she was shocked and happy at the same time.
Your new assistant was here earlier but you were gone, would you like me to call her so that you two can meet?
'Um yeah sure just tell her to go to my office.
Her name is J.......
'No need to tell me, i'll meet her later anyway.
Okay.
I went inside the elevator and greeted all the people that i will come across.
They were all showing mixed emotions, some are scared, some are happy, and some are wondering. I was just in a good mood i hope no one from my past will eventually meet me or something that would be silly.
