I was in class when I noticed a new student walk in. I didn't pay him much mind until he came in and sat down next to me. "Hey, I'm Nathan. What's your name?" He asked me as he held out his hand for me to shake. "My name is Rebecca." I said shaking his hand and plastering a fake smile on my face. "Nice to meet you Re..." He was cut of by the teacher starting the lesson. He gave me an akward smile which made me giggle as I tuned my head back to the teacher.
---during phisical education---
"Ok, everyone get into pairs." Our coach yelled over all the chattering kids. I made my way over to Nathan, trying to be nice, and asked "hey, do you wanna be partners?" "Sure," he said with a shrug, clearly trying to act as though it was nothing, as I pulled him lightly out of the crowd so we could be diferenciated from everyone else.
After phisical education was over it was time for lunch.
---In the lunch room---
As I sat down my friends came and sat down around me. They all imedietly began to tease and question me about Nathan and I being partners. I simply explained to them that I was simply trying to be nice and that it was no big deal. Though, they didn't stop so I simply ignored them. When I looked up I saw Nathan sitting alone at the end of the table. So, dispite thr fact that me friends would end up teasing me, I called Nathan over to sit with us.
He came over and sat next to me. He thanked me and began to talk to my friends and me.
---End of the Day---
The final bell had just rung and I was at my locker putting away what I didn't need and grabbing what I do. Then I heard a fimliar voice come from behind me. It said: "Hey new kid. Yhea you. The twig." I turned around to see Scarlet and her followers talking to Nathan. I quickly shut my locker and walked up to them. "Hey! Leave him alone. Pick on me all you want but leave him out of this." I said to Scarlet. She turned and gave me an evil grin " Oh, look who is here. The little slut." (I was a rape victim and ever since people found out they called me a slut) "What are you doing, protecting one of you little Fuck toys?" She taunted me. I was infuriated " No, I am standing up for an inoccent child who has done nothing to ever remotely deserve this treatment." She scoffed " Sure. Listen why don't you just run along and acept this free pass." " No, I think you litter wanna be pussy cat dolls should run along and go play with one of your little boy toys." I said without thinking. "Oh no you don't. You're going to pay for saying that." Dje said coming at me quickly. I didn't move because I saw a teacher walking down the hall. When she was merely a few feet away I sing songed "Hey Mr. Hollenbeck. " I smiled at him as he passed and Scarlet and her followers walked off. Nathan came up to me and said "Thank you." "It's nothing." I responded with a smile.
We waved good bye and went our separate ways.
