'I've always had everything. And it was boring as shit. And I've always been supervised, controlled, told what to do and what not to do. So yeah, as stupid as this sounds..this is fun.' I mumble, slightly surprised at my own mentality.
He just sits there dumbfounded, staring at me like he's just heard the most idiotic statement. Whit his lips slightly parted, he looks like a child trying to figure out his first puzzle.
'Wow.' he pauses. 'Now, that's a first.' laughing takes over him as he lightly shakes his head. 'And people call me crazy, yet, here I am, in front of someone who enjoys being kidnapped. You've got some serious kinks going on, princess.'
A frown settles on my face at his words and the ironic nickname.
'It's not a kink, weirdo. Can we just move?' I scoff. He reaches over to me, grabbing my wrists in one hand and the rope in the other one before I abruptly pull my arms away, taking him by surprise.
'No, no, no. We're not doing that again, my wrists hurt like a bitch.' I shake my head, while rubbing the red marks around my hands.
'Since when are you making the rules here?' he asks in an annoyed tone, reaching for my wrists again.
'Stop. Listen. Why do I need to have my hands tied? I don't have a weapon, the car doors will be locked and even if I tried anything, you're stronger than me.' I try reasoning with him, a hopeful glint in my eyes as I see him considering my arguments.
All of a sudden he roughly grabs my hands and ties them together quickly, even tighter than before.
'You seem to think I'm going soft on you. That you can easily persuade me. I only let you go to the bathroom cause I knew you'd be nagging me the whole drive if I didn't. But now I've got no reason to do as you please.' he snarls, his eyes fixating me in a psychopath-like manner.
'It hurts though.' I say, barely above a whisper, looking down at my hands.
He gently places his hand on my chin, lifting it up so we're face to face.
'I don't give a fuck.' he growls before letting go with a harsh push of my head to the side. I shoot him a glare, as he turns around to start the car.
A ringing noise stops him midway, making him reach in his pocket to take out his phone. He glides his finger across the screen and places the phone to his ear as he drives off.
'Hello. Yes, I have her. Yes. Around half an hour more. You're underestimating me, Mr. E, you know I never leave traces. Okay, I'll call you later.' is what I hear from his side of the conversation, before he hangs up and places his hand on the steering wheel. From what I gather, we have half an hour more until we get to whatever destination he has planned, and this Mister E is involved as well. But..
'Why me?' I ask rather quiet. He scoffs and shakes his head.
'I guess you were born in the wrong family, princess. You're basically a collateral victim as far as official affairs are concerned.' he states simply.
So it really is about my family. More plausibly, my family's money and company. It doesn't surprise me since he doesn't seem like the type who'd just kidnap random girls. He was prepared, his outfit, his data, it was perfectly planned.
'So let me guess. You want money from my father in exchange for me, right?'
'Wrong. That would be plain boring, wouldn't it? The same old 'money in exchange for someone' is just not thrilling anymore. Plus, your dad would probably give us the money right away and ruin our fun. I'm planning to toy around with you and your dad longer.' even though I can only see his eyes in the rearview mirror, I can tell by their look that he has a smirk planted on his face.
'Why are you so sure he's not going to find you? He's got enough people.' I raise a brow, leaning forward.
'He does. But it's not quantity that matters, it's quality. They actually believed me when I said I'm a new guard and I need a suit. Those dumbasses didn't doubt my words for a second. You'd think for how crazy your dad is about guarding you that he'd actually get someone with some funtioning synapses, but no.' as much as I hated to admit it, he was right. They were straight up idiots for trusting a stranger like that. All of them.
I don't say anything. Instead I lean back, resting my head on the car seat and look out the window. The almost black sky starts to aquire a reddish tint as the sun slowly rises. If I wasn't in the situation I was, with my hands tied and my head still hurting, I'd say it was quite a relaxing scene, seeing as I love car rides. A piece of cloth being thrown at my face snaps me from my thoughts, falling on my lap.
'Put that on.' I look down to see a black blindfold. 'It'll feed your weird kinks.' he smirks, making me roll my eyes.
'Why do I need this?' I ask, ignoring his comment.
'Cause I don't want you to see where we're going. The sun's rising and we're passing through a city. Now do what I said already.' he mutters impatiently.
'Even if I did see, I'd have no idea where we are. It's been a three hours drive in the middle of nowhere.' I retort annoyed, playing with the material in my hands.
'Do. What. I. Fucking. Said.' he spits out every syllable through gritted teeth.
I sigh and place the blindfold over my eyes, adjusting it. After what seemed like forever but in reality was about 10, maybe 15 minutes, the car starts to slow down, the sound of the engine being turned off confirming that we've arrived.
I hear his car door opening and closing and the faint sound of his footsteps on gravel, going around the car to my side. Grabbing my hands, he pulls me out of the car before placing his hand on my shoulder blade and guiding me down a cemented path.
Five small beeping sounds make me turn my head slightly, assuming there's a code to a gate that needs to be opened. A few feet later, he tells me there's going to be a small set of stairs as I carefully go up each one. He fumbles with his keys before opening the front door and pushing me inside.
The unexpected scent of mint and and honey hits my nostrils as soon as I step in. An unusual combination that somehow seems to go so perfectly together - the cool, strong scent of mint with the sweet, delicate one of honey.
Next thing I feel are his hands untying my blindfold, making me blink a few times to adjust to the lightning. Wow. This is a damn huge house. And it's gorgeous as well. Could it be his?
'Yeah, it's mine.' How did he..? 'You're just too easy to read.' he adds making me look at him strangely.
'I could think of worse places to be locked in.' I cough as soon as a smile threatens to creep on my lips. This is actually a really nice place. Okay, wow, there IS something wrong with me, I'm getting excited about the place I'll be staying in while kidnapped.
'You must really see this as a trip, princess. What next? I let you sleep in my bedroom and I sleep on the couch, right?' he asks with fake amusement. 'I think I need to teach you a thing or two about what it's like to be abducted.' he smirks coldly, grabbing my red wrists and pulling me along with him. He stops abruptly in front of one of the many doors.
'This is the bathroom, also known as the only room in this house you're allowed in. No wandering around, no accidentally entering another room because you got lost. Don't get on my bad side.' he informs me, gripping my wrists to the point where I have to do the same to him to let him know it hurts. Of course, that didn't make him lose his grip, but rather tighten it.
Dragging me up a set of stairs, I try to look around to take in the details of the interior but the fast pace makes me disoriented. He stops in front of a white wall, no doors near. Telling me to wait there he goes into a seemingly small room and brings out a metal ladder. That makes me glance up as I notice what looked like a scuttle door in the ceiling. Wait.
'Are you really going to keep me in the attic?'
