The day it all began

Valentine's Day. The one day of the year school allows PDA. Unlike most years I have a girlfriend to spend today with. But I'm still taking my stand it's a pointless holiday. Me and Archie went shopping and we got some nice things for Betty and veronica. I don't know really know what I'm supposed to do though. I mean just like every other day? Or am I supposed to act differently? Dress differently god I'm screwed. I walked into school a medium sized grey teddy bear, flowers and a card in my hand. I walked over to Betty's locker. "Hey." I said with a smile. "Holidays aren't really my thing but I got you something." I said handing her my gifts. She smiled at me "Aw juggie!" She squealed putting everything into my locker. She stepped forward giving me a hug and kissing my cheek. She handed me a box of chocolate and a card and then we separated to class.

I walked into science taking my normal seat by Veronica a smiled planted onto my face. "Jughead?" She asked with a laugh. I nodded. "He's so sweet!" I said joyfully "Were hanging out after school today too! We're going to sweet water river." I said watching the clock while talking. "You and Archie doing anything?" I asked. She shrugged. "I'm going over to his place he got me chocolate which will make any girl happy." She said lifting her chin with a smile.
*Time skip*
I walked outside sitting on a picnic bench while I waited for Jughead. "Ready to go?" He asked I nodded grabbing his hand as we walked through the exiting school crowd. We took the longer way so it gave us more time to talk and less people were taking that route. "Is archie okay?" I asked looking up at him. "Yeah. Why?" He said adjusting his fingers so he could have a better grip on my hand. "I don't know Veronica seemed off." I said as we walked. "Almost like her and Archie were on the edge of something?" It wasn't like her. To seem un excited on a day like this. I would Imagine this being her favorite holiday! The sound of rushing water filled the silence. I smiled setting my stuff down on a park bench once we reached our area. It was towards the beginning of the river, the deepest part. It didn't have many rocks and the water flowed smoothly it was the perfect day for this. I opened my backpack grabbing out a grey bikini. I headed towards a outhouse changing as I cane back. Jughead sat on the bench in his swim shorts with no shirt on. I bit my lip staring at him. "What?" He asked coming closer to me. "You just look so cute." I said with a small laugh as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Guess what?" He asked. "Hm?" I said giving him a quick kiss. He gave me a deviously smirk as he picked me up tossing me into the water. "Jughead!" I screamed laughing the water wasn't cold thank god and it was deep enough. He jumped in we splashed around taking a few breaks so we could share some moments and talk. I swam up the stream smiling back at Jughead before hitting something.  I looked down not any worry on my face. I was sure it was a rock or a some floating trash. Oh how wrong I was. It was a body.
