the honking of geese startled jimin, making him sit up in his bed in a rush of surprise. he looked over to his alarm clock and mentally cursed himself. he was late to his first job...ever. if his boss' impression on him wasn't bad enough, it will be now.

jimin quickly got up out of his comfort zone and didn't bother doing the bed, seeing that it didn't matter anymore. he took a quick shower, sure to still smell good despite his time being awfully limited. his shift started 30 minutes ago, as if his life wasn't already a jumble of  mess.

he grabbed his keys and his phone, wanting to call jungkook so that they could meet up again. there's this unsettling urge in his stomach that made him want to see jungkook again, just for the sake of it. he tried to calm the urge down, but every time he tried it seemed to be only getting worse.

he decided to text him instead, still too scared tp hear voice or feel his presence. he felt like wherever he went, jungkook was always there, just watching, like he was his prey. it's not like jimin minded anyways, he kind of liked the unwanted "company", having enough with being lonely. jungkook never made things official between them and jimin wasn't surprised as to why. he probably needed to be relieved of his sexual frustrations, seeing that all he does in his free time is kill people. jimin would gladly kill anyone for him, just ot be with him. he would go back to the way things once were, giving him a one-way ticket to hell. as long as he was with jungkook, he didn't give a single fuck.

jimin opened the door to the cafe, panting heavily. his car didn't work, for whatever reason and that resulted in him running 3 miles. 3 miles. he felt as if he ran a marathon, and he did. his legs weren't made for running.

"care to explain why you're late, park jimin?" jin asked, arms crossed over his chest.

"m-my car...my car b-broke down." jimin said in between breaths, trying to catch one. he was this close to collapsing on the floor.

"well, get some rest and get to working, a lot of people are out on broad daylight for God knows what." jin says, sympathetically. poor boy was helpless at this point.

jimin went to the staff break room and plopped down onto the plush couch and turned on the vintage tv.

"the man who has terrorized our country endless has finally been caught and put down. the fbi found him in lurking in the alleys at 12:00 in the morning. the man was caught redhanded, in the midst of ending 3 innocent lives. our country may finally rest, but let's not forget the victims who fell in his hands." a woman, probably in her mid 30s reported, confidence present in her dull voice.

what? dead? already? after all these months, he's been caught? this couldn't be happening, jimin thought. no way the jeon jungkook could be caught that easily. jimin got up off of the couch and paced around the small room, thinking hard and fell down to his knees, sobbing relentlessly.

why now? jungkook was his only friend and now he's gone. so that explains why everyone is roaming around without a single care in the world. that's why jimin was all alone again. he looks to his phone, and crawls to it. he opens it and sees he got a notification, it could only be from jungkook since he had no source of social media, or he just had no other friends at all.

and it was jungkook. just 5 minutes ago he replied.

miss me already?

yes, he missed him very much. he decided to call him and get some answers out of him.

thankfully, he picked up.

"what the hell, jungkook? you're apparently, dead now." jimin yells, emphasizing the word dead, putting up quotation marks in the air although jungkook couldn't see.

"my my, and why is that i wonder?" now wasn't the time to be messing with jimin, but jungkook couldn't help it. jimin was easy to mess with, to toy with.

"jungkook, come to the café. now." jimin said in a demanding tone, which put jungkook off guard for a moment. never has he heard him so different. he always thought of him as an easy-going guy, one who just went with the flow. but this was an exception.

"uh, ok? see you in 10." jungkook quickly ended the call. to say jungkook was turned on would be an understatement. he doesn't think he could hold himself any longer if he saw him again. but what jimin just did back there really got him going. looks can be deceiving.

"explain."

jimin was sat on the couch opposite of jungkook's. he didn't want to seat himself next to a liar, and an awful one at that.

"jimin, you should've figured it out already, you're smart or at least i think you are."

jimin rose up and walked over to jungkook, hands on the armrests, trapping him in his gaze. jungkook visibly gulped, a little scared of what he was capable of.

"explain why i saw on the news that you were fucking killed and why the hell you're here. i get you kill people, but i actually trusted you. i would hand over my damn life for you, if it meant i'd still get to be with you. do you know how lonely and helpless i felt? you are better off dead." jimin went off, startling jungkook who was panting as much as he was.

"wow. so, you like me?"

jimin's face turned red, embarrassed and infuriated.

"WHAT THE HELL ASSHOLE! THAT'S ALL YOU GOT OUT OF MY HEARTFELT SPEECH? I CAN'T ANYMORE WITH YOU, YOU'RE JUST A WASTE OF TIME, I'LL FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO INVEST MY TIME ON!"

jungkook laughed. jimin heard jungkook laugh for the first time, his bunny smile showing off perfectly. if only the whole world could see his smile, but jimin wanted that smile all for himself. he just wanted to hug him to death, he looked so soft at that moment. he laughed with him, the both of them in the moment. they locked eyes, and jungkook stopped being cute abruptly.

"i, uh, sorry? forgive me?" jungkook said insincerely, clasping his hands together in front of the red-faced boy's face, forcing to look cute. he didn't even have to try. he made his eyes big, which made him look even more like a bunny.

"fine, just don't do it again. i'd rather have you be homeless than hear that you're dead."

jungkook pulled jimin in a tight hug, suffocating him. the one thing jimin had been waiting for. he hid his face in the crook of jungkook's neck, inhaling his cologne. they stayed like that for a good 5 minutes, before he pulled away. they looked deeply into each other's eyes, lost in the angry waves clashing within them.

"stay with me? forever?"

"forever."

and that's how their story began.
