Fame&Riches. What more could you want? It sounds perfect to me, as it probably does to you too. But not to 17 year old Charlie Thompson. You see she's the presidents daughter AKA The American Angel but what she wants more than anything is to be normal. Instead of adoring the Spotlight Charlie wishes that is wasn't constantly on her, all Charlie wants is to be able to experience a normal teenage life.
Follow Charlie through her journey of growing up. Of course there's going to be ups and downs, but maybe Charlie can finally make sense of it all. Will she get her first proper kiss? What happens when she finds out that Prince Charming might in fact be a slimy toad? Oh! And did I mention Americas Angel might be going on a top secret summer holiday?

Hey! So this is the first story I've uploaded (give me a chance?)
Not really sure how it gonna go, hope you like it :)!
As it's about the presidents daughter it is set in America, due to me being English I know that I'm not going to spell things like an American probably would. So sorry about that.. Ummm I think that's it. Well if you actually made it this far then here's the first chapter...not sure how long it's going to be on here. I promise they will be getting longer if people are interested. Thanks!

Chapter One
Welcome Home
Charlie's Pov -
So here we were, the plane was slowly descending. I looked out of the window and could just about see the ground - getting closer and closer. It was night time here in Washington and I must admit that my eyes were starting to get heavier. After a light thump the pilot called out through the speakers "We have now landed ladies and gentleman. Thank you for your company, you are free to leave." I couldn't help but laugh atheist little speech. Roy - the pilot - had worked for my dad long before he was president...Yep took me a while to get used to as well. My dad's the fricking president! "Can you grab Dillon please Hunny?" My mum pointed to my baby brothers she bent down to pick up his two sister. They had both fallen asleep on the journey home, a slight smile played on Sophie's mouth as she yawned. They were only just over a year old and had no idea how important and well known they were. Bless them. They had no idea how rubbish this can actually be. The spotlight, everyone knows who you are, what your doing and who you doing it with. The teenage life I'd dreamt of was taken from and I'd been shoved into this hectic time table. Meetings here, interviews there. Where is the friends and memories of laughing so much that I spat my drink everywhere? I haven't had this chance, the opportunities to run around without a care in the world. Why? Because I'm the presidents daughter. I can't make new friends because they couldn't be trusted, I couldn't exactly run around the beach because the paparazzi would have a field day!
Everyone must think I'm a total brat! Eh. Maybe I am. But I don't mean it like that, I know my daddy is a very important man. I just sometimes wish that things were different, like that I could see my dad more or that I could just go swimming at the beach with my friends. 'I guess I just want some normality' I thought to my self as I started to doze of in the back if the limo. Something nudging my arm startled me, looking down I saw that it was just Dillon cuddling into my side, I hugged him tighter and fell asleep with a smile.
"Charlie" I turned around, away from the voice that was calling my name. "It's time to get up," my mums voice echoed through my head; I had been up half the night with a head ache. Covering my head with the blanket I pleaded with the powers that be to let me sink right into this bed, anything to happen just so I didn't have to face the world today. "Should I get a glass of water?" My mum sounded so mischievous that I knew she wouldn't hesitate so I finally gave in and kicked the covers to the bottom of my bed. It was so comfy I just didn't want to get up right now, looking around my large room my eyes settled on my alarm clock. It read 6:05. I groaned.
Thudding footsteps warned me of my mothers appearance at my door. I turned to look at her just as she was about to shout again. "Good morning dear, you need to get ready. Your dad has a press meeting today and the whole family has to be there." After that she turned around and left me to get on with it. Finally I swung my legs out of the bed and sat up, my head spinning a little. It's now time for some music me thinks. Making my way over to my docking station I try to pick what song to play first. I went with Iggy Azalea's Fancy. Dancing all the way I entered my en suit. Looking my self over in the mirror, my nose scrunched at the sight of my appearance. I was still in last nights clothes; after we finally got home I had no energy to do anything apart from fall into my bed.
After I had finished showering and what not I set out on a mission to find press meeting worthy clothes. As I walked into my closet I pulled my towel tighter around myself. Ten or so minutes later I had picked out a cream coloured dress that pulled in at my waist and flowed to my knees. I thought it was cute and wasn't too over the top. Turning to my racks of shoes I grabbed my nude pumps and slipped them on. "Charlotte! You have twenty minutes to be in the car!" That was my dad. He knew I hated to be called Charlotte, so in return I simply turned my music up and quickly got on with doing my hair.
Half hour later the limo was pulling out of the driveway, quietly I hummed to myself. Passing the time I thought about anything and everything. I thought about my twin brother Max, he had gone on a boys holiday instead of coming to Spain with the family this time. I admired my big brother - if only by four minutes, he never lets me forget it - he manages to balance everything. His amazing social life, our family and even the media side of things. Speaking of Max, why doesn't he have to be here? The twins weren't here either so I was the only one that had to suffer right now. I looked out of the window instantly recognising the airport. "Dad?" I called to my father from across the car. "Yes Angel?" He used my normal nickname. "Why are we at the airport again?"'
