The War Of The Demon Hounds

I woke up from my sleep to the smell of cooking meat coming from the kitchen. I sat up in my bed looking at myself in the mirror across the room. I finally got up out of bed and walked to my closet and opened my door and began looking at all the outfits I could wear for the day along with thinking about how I would put my hair up.  I picked out an outfit and went to my bathroom to get ready for the day by putting on clothing.  I got my clothes on and started to choose all the colors of my make-up I wanted to wear and to see which would match my outfit.  I finally got done getting ready for the day so I grabbed my phone and headphones and began walking to the kitchen.  I walked into the kitchen seeing my 2 brothers and 3 sisters.  I said "Good morning Evy,  Pepper,  and Twilight.  "Good morning Tsubaki" they said.  "Hey what's up" said  Jack.  "Yea what’s up sis" said Kirt.  "Nothing much.  Were is mother and father? " I asked "Oh there in the backyard training" said pepper.  I asked "What are they training for?" Oh you haven't heard yet?" Asked Jack.  "Heard what? " I asked. Jack said " well the magic wolf council is going to war with the  mortals and there calling everybody between the ages 12-30 to fight with them against the mortals." I thought to myself "Since im only 13 they will have to call me in to the war to help fight.... BUT I CAN'T KILL ANYBODY I CAN'T KILL!" My parents then called me outside to tell me something.  "Since your 13 you will have to go to war with the other children your age" Said my father " Because your father and I specialize in the medical field we will stay at the base out in yokio" Said my mom. "You will not talk back to us and say no to this. you will die for your own kind out in battle. " barked my dad. "Yes sir" I said.  "Now go start packing to leave the bus will be here to pick you up for training.  The bus comes in 15 minutes." Said my mother.  "Yes mother".  I said as I walked away growling. I ran into the house angry and about to cry when my siblings looked concerned at me. I ran into my room slammed my door shut. I opened my closet door and yanked out my suitcase. I cried as I packed my stuff. I began looking over everything I packed - Pillow, Blankets, Sheets, Stuffed animal, pictures, phone charger, toothbrush,  toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner with body wash and flea spray.  I got everything together but yet it was still not time to leave so I layed on my bed and started checking my phone.  I heard multiple loud knocking noises from my door so I got up and answered  it. I opened my door and found it was my siblings holding a cake for me. "We wanted to say goodbye to you by making this cake for you" they all said.  "Thanks I guess" I said with a weird look on my face.  I took the cake and closed my door.  "I lost my appetite  I can't eat this" I said to myself.  I heard a honking noise from outside i looked out and found the most horrifying bus ever.  I grabbed my suitcase and my stuff and began to walk outside. I walked out and found my family standing in front of the bus waiting to say goodbye. I walked up to the bus and saw my siblings crying as they all come running towards me for a hug. I avoided each of them because i was still upset that they were going to let me die like this.  My parents tried to hug me but I walked past them to the stairs of the bus.  I had an expression on my face showing I was scared but not wanted to go back to my family after what they did.  I slowly took step after step until I got to the top.  I looked around the bus and saw a bunch of kids with angry faces looking like they were gonna beat me up.  But this one girl she had a smile on her face it confused me so much. She was wearing all black… it disturbed me so much. I thought to myself "HOW COULD THIS GIRL BE SMILING SHE HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY FROM HER FAMILY IS GOING TO WAR WITH A POSSIBILITY OF MEETING DEATH!" I get back out of my head with the driver yelling at me “Sit down you little punk.” “Ah i'm so sorry sir i will take my seat now.” I quickly sat next to the girl who was smiling she looked at me and she started to laugh as i noticed she had headphones in. I began to like being around this girl she is making light when the darkest moments come. After a few hours we arrived in Yokio's army base we drove past all of the buildings to where the new recruits are greeted. The bus all of a sudden stopped without a warning and i slammed my face into the seat. I quickly looked over at the girl and she looked fine she did not move one bit. She looked over with a worried face. “Are you okay?” “Yeah i am fine thanks for asking.” She then grabbed her stuff and said “Come on we are gonna be late if we do not start moving.” “Ah yes general would not like it if we turned out late on our first day.” I started to walk with this girl she looked pure hearted and she cared about people even if she does not know them. I’m gonna ask her name. “Excuse me” i asked with a worried face. “Yea?”  “May i ask what your name is” i asked “Oh it is Tannya” she said. “And may I ask your name?” asked Tannya “My name is Tsubaki.” “Oh you have a really unique name I never heard it before.” I said “ Your name is unique too” Said Tannya “Oh thanks it is a type of cherry blossom” I said. We finished our conversations as the general started to speak. “Ok children your gonna set up your rooms then get to training straight away. You only have 15 minutes to get your rooms ready.” I began to question this general and why he called us children but i just forgot about it. A kid asked “How are we gonna know who we are sharing a tent with and what tent number?” ‘Good question child let sargent Vannessa explain.” “Ok so i am gonna pass out paper to each of you and it will say who you are sharing a tent with and what numer tent you are staying in.” She walked around handing a slip of paper to everyone. I got my slip and closed my eyes quickly to let the person be a surprise. I prayed that i did not get a person who looked mean. I felt a hand on my shoulder and it scared me so i quickly opened my eyes to see who it was in a little scream. It turned out to be Tannya she looked so happy her eye seemed brighter. She did little jumps while saying “Guess what Guess What.” I ended up saying “What happened” because it got so annoying. “We share tents ahhhh im so excited and happy to share a tent with you.” I think i looked happy and sad to live with her because she put a confusing look on her face. I quickly took my things and started to walk to our tent as Tannya has trouble carrying all of the bags she brought to this place. I thought to myself. “ Who would need to bring this much stuff to a place like this and at this time. I honestly thought that this girl would hold me down.” While i was thinking to myself i was also following Tannya to our tent. Dang it i did not notice that we were already here and how did i not notice me walking with her. I got myself out of my head to see what Tannya was doing. She is talking about her cats attacking the dog when they are mad…. I was so deep into my thoughts that did not hear her ask the question and she was waiting for an answer but the problem is that i have no idea what the question was. I had to think of something so i said “Yes i agree with your choice.” Tannya looked happy ‘So i can decorate the tent now yay.” I had an expression on my face that only described fear and nothing else. I was thinking “Maybe she is gonna decorate the tent all pink or something stupid.” All of a sudden Tannya was saying “Tsubaki you should go outside because i want This to be a surprise. I walked outside while checking my phone for the time it was 2:30 we only have 5 more minutes until training begins. So i yelled “Tannya hurry up we only have 5 or 4 more minutes left!” “Ok thanks for letting me know only a few more things.” I was thinking to myself how is she already almost done. Our tents are like the huge tents where there are bunk beds and a lot of space for stuff. Tannya peeked her head out and said “done you can come in now.” I walked into the tent and saw fairy lights with batteries hanging onto our beds with a mirror and a full make-up set with our suitcases representing the shape of a closet. All of a sudden a strong smell hit my nose to find out it was perfume. “Tannya is that your perfume.” I     asked as i covered my nose with my shirt. Tannya laughed and said “Yes but I know it smells strong now but you will get used to it and it’s like you won’t even smell it.” I quickly said “Goodbye clothing, and everything you now smell.” and ran out of the tent like the flash. When i got out of the tent i took a big breath of air and it felt like everything in my body burned. Tannya quickly ran after me and said “Are you ok.” “No im not and we better start running before we are late for training.” I began to run as fast as i can getting down on all fours getting into wolf form to get away from that girl and the smell of her perfume. I eventually got to the training field and just as i past the door i was attacked by Tannya saying “Haha now your it.” I had the expression on my face that was showing being surprised, Angry, And Confused. I was even more confused because i wonder how this girls brain functions this way. The general then yelled “Children stop playing around and save your energy for training.” “Yes sir” “Yes sir” we both said and got in line. “Ok children it’s time for target practice you will be taking these paw held guns.” said the general but a kid got confused and said “But general why can’t we just use the guns in our human forms instead of having to use them in our wolf forms.” “Because you want to stay in your wolf forms for if you get attacked from behind and you drop your gun you can have your claws and teeth to act on your fast reflexes.” Said sargent Vannessa. “We all looked pleased with the answer we have got. General and Sargent Vannessa began to walk around carefully handed us out paw held guns. After everyone got there paw held guns and got into the wolf forms the General had to go check on something and left Sargent Vannessa to explain things to us. After Sargent Vannessa explained everything we were able to start our target practice. I looked over at Tannya and she was just shooting that thing like her life was in serious danger but the weird thing was is that she was actually hitting the target in the places that could kill anybody. Actually everybody looked surprised and even the Sargent looked surprised it kinda scared me to think on what thing wolf human thing can do…. I began to shoot my paw held gun i was shooting the parts that could slow somebody down but it would not kill them. After target practice the General showed back up and he looked at all of our targets and he looked pleased with what we have done while he was gone. “Okay children it is time to clean your guns then go to dinner.” Everybody began to take apart there paw held gun to clean them even Tannya looked like she knew what to do. Straight after everyone finished cleaning their guns we all got on all fours and began to run one after another following each other to the lunch room. I was running and i quickly looked behind me to see were everyone was in line and i saw Tannya was the last person to leave but decided to wait for her when i get to the cafeteria. We arrived in the cafeteria and we saw so many other groups of people and i did not want to go and get lunch by myself. Tannya finally showed up to the cafeteria and asked “Why did you not wait for me in the line to get here?” “Oh because i did not want to lose my speed and fall behind everybody.” I began walking and Tannya followed me. We got our lunch and sat down in the back of the cafeteria  we didn't say anything to each other the whole time. After we sat down I looked at Tannya and she looked eager to eat. “I’m starving I haven’t eaten all day.” I smiled and said “well eat up we have a busy day tomorrow and need our energy.” We began eating and the General and Sargent Vanessa walked towards us. I got nervous and I put my ears down to my head and I was thinking that we did something wrong and that we were in trouble. “ Stand up children we have something to say to you.” Tannya stood up quickly while I stood up slowly. Sargent Vanessa then said “ You two are not in trouble we have some good news for you.” “Since we can already tell that you two are gonna be one of our best we decided to put you with the older more experienced children” General said. Tannya got all excited and happy so she took my hand and said “I’m so happy we both get to go!” “Yeah…” I said. Tannya then got a curious look on her face and said “ What’s wrong you look sad.” “We are so lucky to have been moved up”! I put a small smile on my face and said “Yeah… I am so happy we are this lucky.” “We already got your tent moved with all of your things in it. You two better get moving if you ever want to meet your new General and Sargent.” Said General. Sargent Vannessa then quickly said after that “Good luck you will need it.” She gave us something in a small red, green, black, and blue bag and it said something but i could not understand something in another language. I put the bag in my coat pocket and walked off to go to the other camp with Tannya. Tannya ran up to me and said “I wonder what is in these it looks important.” I said “Dont open them because we don't know what is in them.” We walked out of camp and about as we were about to walk out of sight of the camp and Sargent Vannessa drove up and said “ I will give you a ride to the other camp.” Ok” we said as we threw our stuff in the back and jumped in. She started to drive off as I asked Tannya to take out my phone for me. Tannya gave me her phone and she took out hers and saw all of the messages we got through out the whole day. We finally arrived at the other camp after a few hours of driving and we were surprised at what we saw. We walked up to Sargent Vannessa and she said “Welcome to camp tuckahado this is where you will be staying until you move up farther. This is the last training camp until you arrive at the actual fighting camps. Good luck and stay safe you two.” Sargent Vannessa then drove away back to the other camp. The new General and Sargent walked up behind us and scared us to death. “Welcome to camp maggots this is where you will work your butt off training until you can’t stand anymore” said General. “This is General Savanna and im General Jacob welcome to camp.” I looked at Tannya and I thought “ok so Savanna is the mean general and Jacob is the super nice Sargent.” “Ok maggots Sargent Jacob will show you to your cabin and were everything is” Jacob then walked behind us and said “lets go before she gets mad” while pushing us a little. Tannya and I began following Jacob to our cabin. Jacob then began saying “ Sorry about General Savanna she is really strict and wants us all be to successful and strong by pushing us past our limits.” I turned to Tannya and looked at her face it was all concerned I knew she was thinking on how we are gonna survive this with all of the older kids pushing us around. We finally arrived at our cabin I looked through the little window on the side and saw everything was already set up and ready to use. Jacob opened the door and walked in saying “ Yep everything is how you last saw it.” But how everything is the exact same as I left it.” Tannya said all curious. “ We brought it the special memory wolf’s who remembers everything they need to remember by smell and memory.” WOA THAT IS SO COOL.” Tannya said. It echoed in the cabin so I covered my ears before I went deaf. I walked up to Tannya and said “ calm down you in a building use your inside voice before you start drawing attention to us.” Tannya then ran over to the bed and jumped onto it face first. Jacob said while walking towards the door “Well you two seem to be enjoying yourselves and getting use to things. I’m gonna get back to General Savanna before I get in trouble for being late.” “Bye Sargent Jacob have a good day” We both said. I told Tannya “use your manners when talking to an adult you could get in trouble or they take it the wrong way.” I walked towards my suitcase to change clothing because mine has dirt and mud all over from riding in the Jeep and mud flying everywhere. I looked and Tannya and asked “ Hey do you wanna get changed before roll call so we don’t look like trash in front of the other kids.” “Hey uh Tsubaki where do we get changed because it’s weird changing in front of another human.” Asked Tannya “First of all we are a wolf human hybrid And second we can just not look at the other person getting changed.” I said. Tannya then sat up in her bed saying “Ohhh that makes more sense.” “Look away” I said as I started to get changed. She turned towards the wall and went on her phone to watch some things she missed over the few days.  A few minutes later I said “ I'm done now it is your turn” Tannya didn't hear me so I walked up to her bed and tapper her shoulder. When I did she screamed really loud I think I went deaf for a few seconds… “Shut up it still echoes in here be careful on how loud you do things.” She got up and walked towards her suitcase while still watching her things. I then quickly climbed up to the top bunk were I'm sleeping and took out a book and began reading. “ Are you looking because I don't want you to see anything” Tannya asked all concerned… “No I'm not I'm reading a book” I said quickly. “Wow a book! You are so boring if you read books. You have a phone use it other kids would be happy to have a phone.” Tannya said kinda angry. “Well I rather learn useful things than to be brainwashed by electronics all the time” I said. She walked over towards our beds and said “Whatever I’m done now can we leave.” I set my book down and jumped off my bed changing into wolf form and landing on all fours as I walked towards the door. “I’ll take that as a yes” said Tannya as she changed into wolf form. Tannya ran past me to the door and slammed her head into mine and yelled “you’re it!” then ran as fast as she could to the center of the camp. “Ow! Tannya you don’t just hit people in the head then run off like that!” I said. I quickly slammed the door and ran after Tannya trying to get her back for hitting me. I was still running as fast as I could but could not catch up to her I was thinking “ I could need catch up to her at this speed.” I looked at her starting to fade into the distance everything turning red and scary. I could feel my fur changing into something I never felt before. I felt more powerful and faster for some reason it scared me. I finally got to the center of camp with everybody giving me weird looks. Tannya looked scared as she slowly back away from me. Sargent Jacob yelled “Tsubai quickly follow me.” I folded my ears onto my head not knowing what was going on and everybody looked at me and whispering to each other. Sargent Jacob took me into a random room and he turned to his human form and sat down as he began to talk. “ Tsubaki do you even know what is going on? Do you have any idea what form you are in? Do you know what you are?” Said Sargent Jacob sounding all concerned. My eyes began to water as I said “No I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know any other form than my human and my wolf. And all I know is that I’m a human old hybrid.” Sargent Jacob then said “ Stay here I will go get a mirror. He came back with a full body mirror and put up to my face showing what I have became. I opened my eyes to see a pure black wolf standing in the mirror with blood red eyes staring back at me. “Sargent Jacob….. what am I... I’m terrifying….WHAT KIND OF CREATURE COULD EVER LOOK LIKE THIS!” Sargent Jacob got a worried look on his face and said “ Tsubaki you’re a wolf from the main branch of the royal family…” “ But…. how is that possible my family is not royal we’re not rich or anything how could I be from the royal family….THIS IS NOT MAKING ANY SENSE TO ME” I said beginning to worry. Sargent Jacob gave me a letter that was sent to my family a long time ago as he said “ Here read this it will tell you everything you will need to know about yourself and your past.” Sargent Jacob then stood up and turned back into his wolf form and left the room to go back with General Savanna. I carefully opened the letter scared on what I was about to learn about myself but wanting to learn about my new form. “ Dear Fallikworths we bring you this child to keep as one of your own. We the royal family cannot keep her due to government issues and frightened she might be kidnapped and killed. Something to keep in mind her name is Monuku Okamaru but her name will have to be changed to keep the government from finding her. We give you the name Tsubaki Fallikworths to name this child nobody will find out she is part of the family. No matter what you do NEVER EVER tell anybody what this letter is about only you and your husband will know. The child will develop a certain form of Wolf she turns into it being her back to the castle and we will put it under control. When she transforms into her new form it transforms herself automatically even if she does not want to change. You’re wondering what makes her change into this form? It’s because when she was born her father put a mark on her back and it welcomed a demon into her body called Aka Mana. Aka Mana will protect Monuku from getting hurt if she does get hurt the demon will transform her. Her father only put the demon in Monuku because he wanted a stronger army and since she is the first born she will become the next Queen but before that she will  training at the camps. Her father also did it so she could learn to get use to her new transformation and to make her the strongest one in the army. He knew that this demon could kill Monuku but he did it to have a stronger army. Keep her safe and don’t let anybody see this letter.

When I finished reading the letter I fell out of my chair stumbling towards the wall. I hit the wall and fell to the ground almost crying. I kept thinking about how bad the situation must of been to give me away like that. Tannya somehow learned about what has been going on and came into the room to check on me and to make sure I’m calming down. Tannya walked towards me and said “are you okay? Here I will help you up.” I slowly stood up with her holding my hand to make sure I don’t fall. “Yea I’m fine... I just learned about what happened to me and were I really came from.” I handed Tannya the letter and said “ here read this I trust you and you’re my best friend so you need to learn more about me so you know how to help at times like those.” She opened  I then said while letting go of her. “Come on we are gonna miss roll call if we do not leave right now” She then wiped off the tears off her face and walked to the corner and sat down still kinda crying.”I hear General Savana and Sargent Jacob have something to give us for being new here...i guess if you wanna sit in the corner and cry you can do that too…” i said walking to the door. “A surprise I don't want to miss that what if it is something cool that we can use” Tannya then jumped up and ran after me and said “Don’t leave me alone… being alone scares me…” “heh then come on and you won’t be alone” I said as I hugged her. Oh ok Tannya then followed me as i held her hand and walked out the door. Right as we got out the door Sargent Jacob ran towards us as he saw my face was red from the tears and Tannya was being weird as usual. He then said “Tsubaki are you ok?” i gave him a smile and said “yep im fine” trying to fight back all the tears. Sargent Jacob then told us we could go back to our cabin because we had a rough first day here at camp. Walking to our cabins it was silence as both of us did not talk. I looked over at Tannya and saw she had an awkward look on her face so i asked “you ok Tannya?”. She met my gaze and quickly looked away “yeah im fine...why do you ask?” said Tannya. I looked away from her and looked at the ground and continued to walk giving off an awkward vibe. After what seemed like forever we finally arrived at our cabin and walked inside still not saying a single word just listining to the sound of our footsteps. I sat down on my bed as Tannya decided to finally say something “hey uh….Tsubaki…” I looked at her with a quick reply “yeah?” She met my gaze and asked “how do you feel about knowing about your real parents and the ones you lived with arent your real ones and your siblings are fake but they thought they were real?” I hesitated a little after a few minuets of silence i finally answered “well… i was sad at first to find out they arent my real family then mad my dad used me his own child for an expereiment and put a demon inside of me to make me strong.” We looked at each other then a tear went down my face as Tannya jumped off her bed and hugged me.  “Hey hey its ok no matter what I will always be here for you and remember friends are family.” Tannya said as she hugged me tightly. I had a surprised look on my face and slowly put my arms around her to hug her back. She leaned back and and went back to her bed as we heard a knock on the door. “Its open!” Tannya yelled loudly. Sargent Jacob then walked in “hey uh...how are you two doing?
