Encounter With The Unknown!

It was a quiet day at the library. Just the way Yoongi liked it. Aside from studying or doing homework, for him it was the best place to take a nap. It was noon and his classes start in an hour or so. Enough time for a quick nap. Yoongi folded his hands and settled his head on them. Quietly waiting to nod off.                                         

Untill he heard someone pulling the chair and sit directly across him. Yoongi cracked one eye open in irritation to see who the intruder is.

It was a tall guy, whom he never saw before (well that was no surprise) he was wearing headphones. Expensive ones. Yoongi noticed it right away. When his eyes landed on his face, he realised that the boy was looking at him.

"What?" Yoongi asked, irritated. Even though he was starting at him first.

"My question exactly." he replied. His eyes held a hint of surprise.

Yoongi softly grumbled and faced in another direction. He desperately wanted to tell the other guy just to fuck off and sit somewhere else.
It was his table. Nobody else was allowed to sit on it. But he couldn't say that though.

Yoongi peeked at the boy from the corner of his eyes. His headphones, which were previously on his shoulders were covering his ears now. He was reading some book. Now that Yoongi looked carefully, the boy looked younger than him. Probably a freshman. He was sorta cute too.

Yoongi hadn't realised when he lifted his head to stare at the boy. But his senses kicked in when he saw the boy in question notice his stare.

"Do you need something?" he asked.

"N-no." Yoongi said, mildly blushing at getting caught. He faked a cough to hide his embarrassment.

Yoongi tried to focus on something else. Another quick glance at the boy told him he resumed his reading. It was awkward. For Yoongi, at least as he disliked company. He thought of leaving. Besides he wasn't studying anyway.

He was about to leave till someone called behind him to stop. It was that boy.

"You forgot your book." he said.

"Oh" Yoongi said. He went over again to take it.

"'Great Expectations', huh. I like it." he said.

"Ah thanks." Yoongi said. Book in his hands.

"English major, perhaps?" The boy asked. Head tilting and smiling.

Yoongi nodded.

The boy smiled for the first time. "Hmm. See you around then."

Yoongi went to his class ten minutes early. He was never this early. As he barely makes it in time. He sat in the front row, nonetheless. He has an immense urge to distract himself today. Yet still his mind is wandering off to the encounter with the unknown boy.
