"One latte please." I paid the barista an exact amount for my coffee.

"Name, ma'am?"

"Uhh.. Mimi. Just put Mimi." She nodded with a smile and went to make my coffee.

Damn. Every time I inhale, all I can smell is the pleasant aroma of freshly brewed coffee and some pinch of cinnamons which I love very dearly.

Looking around, trying to find an empty seat in this crowded café. Luckily I found one beside an old but still good-looking man who's reading the daily newspaper.

"Uhmm.. excuse me, mister. Would you mind if I take this seat?" I asked with all politeness.

"No no.. Not at all." He smiled at me making the wrinkles at the side of his eyes showed up.

I looked around, familiarizing myself to my new environment.

I think I won't have a hard time adjusting in this town.

Minutes went by, people starts coming in and out of the café. I was too busy looking around then at my phone that I didn't realize that someone's standing in front of me. More specifically, looking at me.

"Huh?" Shit. I feel like I look so stupid in front of this person.

"Mind if I sit here?"

I looked around, trying to find the old man who was sitting with me just a few moments ago. But when I saw no signs of him, I nodded at the new face I saw today. "Ani.."

Did I spaced out that long that I didn't notice the old man leave?

He gave me a slight smile and took the seat in front of me. "Thanks."

"Latte for Mimi." I stood up as I heard the barista called out my name. I went to the counter to get my coffee and looked at my wristwatch. Hmm.. I still have a few minutes to spare so I decided to go back to my seat.

On my way there, I unintentionally looked at the person who sits with me. He kinda looks tall, his nose is beautiful from his side profile. I can't see much of his other face feature because he's looking down at his phone.

I sat down again and enjoyed every sip of my precious coffee.

The next minute, I saw him stood up and went to counter. He took his coffee with a smile and went back to look at his phone.

I was anticipating for him to sit back but unluckily, he went straight to exit, leaving me a little disappointed. I don't know why but I just do.

I looked at my watch again and saw that I only have five minutes left before my shift starts. I stood up and grabbed my sling bag and coat, as well as my coffee, of course then went out of the café.

I entered a building which I will see every day starting today. I heaved a deep sigh before I knocked thrice at a thick wooden door.

It's not long when someone opened it and smiled at me. "Oh.. I'm very glad to see you, Miss Kim. Come in." He stepped aside, giving me space to enter the room.

He offered me a seat as he sat on his own chair. "I'm very glad you took my offer. I've heard that you're one of best architects in your hometown so it's my honor to work with you."

I let out an awkward and shy smile. "Thank you so much, Mr. Yang. It's my pleasure to work with you as well."

"C'mon... I'll introduce you to your team." He stood up while holding a green folder.

I stood up as well and followed him outside his office.

"Hi. I'm Kim Misun. I'll be your new senior architect. It's nice to meet you all and I hope we all will get along very well." I bowed at them and smiled.

After all the greetings and introductions, which I think is all I think in my entire shift, I finally have to go home. I packed up my stuffs and bid my goodbyes to everyone.

I flopped down on my bed, my face facing it and sighed. I don't wanna move, not even a single bit. I feel so exhausted even if I didn't even do anything at all.

I looked around and realized that I'm still not yet done unpacking my stuffs from the boxes.

"Aigooo~ I need coffee right now." I whined while wiggling my feet and arms on the bed. Then suddenly, I felt something wet and slimy on my hand. I lifted my head up and saw my cute little sunshine. Then suddenly, I felt energized again.

"Hey there, little squishy baby." I sat up and pat my lap and he quickly jumped right in and gave cute little licks on the cheeks.

I giggled as I hugged him. "How's my little Mini while mommy's at work?" He joyfully wagged his tail while going round and round.

I giggled as adored my cute dog. He's a teacup Maltipoo. I got him as a gift from my parents when I turned eighteen. I insisted of taking him with me to lessen my homesickness because I'll be away from my parents for a long time for the first time so having my pet with me will make me a feel a little comfortable living alone.

"C'mon, Mini.. Let's go to sleep." I called my little sunshine after I've done showering and preparing for bed. He laid down beside me and I gave him a hug. "Good night." I kissed his forehead and turned off the lights.
