The small clock on my table was showing 03:16, but I didnt care. Summer vacation just started and my two best friends were sleeping over at my house to celebrate. -anyone want more soda? I asked and both my friends nodded while trying to find a good summer beat for our pillow fight. In the kitchen I stoped and looked at an old photo of me and my best friends from a long time ago. a smal tear falls down my chin when I remember that after summer vacation ends, I was going to attend a new school. -it's just not fair, I said out loud (name)? a voice brought me back to the real world and I looked over to see one of my friends. -yes? I tried my best not to look sad but she knows me way too well and attacked me with a big hug. -okay okay, let go. I laughed nicely, feeling a lot better and both of us headed back to my room. More hours passed by and my friends cheered me up. -I'm hungry, I shouted out after throwing away a magazine about desserts. -yea, me too one of my friends agreed. -did you bring the fortune cookies, Mia? Mia, my other friend smiled and pulled a small plastic box out of her bag. -got them right here, I looked at the small cookies and wondered what it could mean for my future to read the note on the inside. We all grabs a cookie and cracks it at the same time. -I hope mine is about finding true love, Lena whined exited. -I hope mine is about getting rich, I laughed. I deffenently not need a love life in this mess, I thought for myself. -oh, it's saying something about money on this one! Mia shouted -but just that I'm gonna loose them... she continued unimpressed. -"you are smarter then you think" Lena read out loud. -what, no true love? she giggled and looked over at me. -what about you (name)? what does it say? I folded out the small piece of paper. It had fatty marks all over it, but I could still see what was written -"black cats are your luck" I read it one more time to my friends. -hat does that mean? Mia asked. -isn't it obvious? I replyed, -it just means that im super unlucky, what a surprise. I said with a sarcastic voice.
Me and my friends stayed up a bit longer, but when we got to sleep I couldn't stop thinking about that paper note, and that whatever the quote on the inside meant was going to change my life... somehow
