MoMo's laugh echoed through the room, and I could feel my heart flutter. Yes I have a huge crush on MoMo from Twice. We were currently at my place watching Zootopia with Shownu of Monsta X. I sat next to Shownu and MoMo layed over us with her head in my lap and her legs drapped across his. Another funny scene had MoMo laughing again causing me to laugh as well. I swear her sweet laugh was contagious. I glanced over at Shownu and found him with that same cute smile he always wore.
"Shownu, how can you not be laughing? Your like a robot." I teased, but I knew he didn't mind. The three of us had been friends for as long as I can remember. After the movie MoMo jumped up.
"We should have a sleepover guys! It will be fun!" She squealed and I couldn't help but smile at the thought of spending more time with her. Shownu checked his watch and stood up.
"As fun as that sounds, I have a concert tomorrow so I should probably go and get some sleep." He said before heading towards the door. We both booed at him causing him to chuckle lightly at our childish behavior. MoMo popped up off the couch.
"Dang I forgot I have practice tomorrow morning too." She said dissapointedly. I was a little sad, but understood that they had work to do.
"Fine. How about we make a deal. If we go to your concert, we all have to go get lunch with afterwords to make up for it." I said and they thought for a minute before agreeing. I went to the door to see them both out. I hugged Shownu and then went to hug MoMo. As we separated she kissed me on the cheek and I started to blush. As much as I wanted to belive it meant something, I assumed it was just her friendly nature. She probably doesn't even like girls. Shownu and her hugged and it lasted a little longer than normal. Then he leaned down and kissed her on the forehead causing her to smile shyly. I internally freaked out. Does this mean he likes her? What if she likes him back? Of course she likes him, why wouldn't she? My thoughts were paused by their goodbyes. I waved them off before closing the door and going straight to my room. I collapsed on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. I wondered if I was over reacting. Maybe I should just ask her, but I didn't want her finding out about my crush. I stayed up the whole rest of the night thinking about how I might loose her. When I eventually fell asleep it was short lived. I woke to my phone alarm going off and realized that I had to get ready for Shownu's concert. I got ready and headed out reluctantly seeing as though I was still tired. I hadn't even left the driveway when I got a text from MoMo asking me to pick her up. I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy. I pulled up to the JYP building amd she was waiting out front. She excitedly hopped in the passenger seat and immediately turned on the radio. She started simging loudly and I couldn't help but quietly join in. After the song ended she fell silent and I glanced over to see her looking out the window. If I wasn't driving I could have watched her like that forever. The light hit her at a perfect angle and the way she watched the buildings go by with her perfect side profile made her look even more perfect. Not to mention the slight smile layed on her pink lips that made me almost wreck the car from being distracted.
"You should sing more you know." I heard her voice and it shook me from my thoughts.
"You have a very beautiful voice." She continued and I tried to keep my focus on the road but my heart was racing. I reminded myself to reply before it got too awkward.
"It's not that good." I said doubtfully and she laughed which suprised me.
"Stop saying that. You don't give yourself enough credit!" She said, placing her hand on my leg. My palms started to sweat and my heartbeat picked up its pace. We finally pulled up to the venue and I was relived to be out of the cramped car before she noticed how nervous she was making me. We entered and found our seats in the front row. They started with Dramarama and we cheered as loud as we could for our best friend. When he saw us he smiled at us. I could have sworn he winked at MoMo, but I assumed he just did it for the fans. The whole time I caught him staring at MoMo and I got a little uncomfortable. I was becoming more convinced that he liked her and my mood started to go down. After they finished, everyone started cheering, but I was too absorbed in my thoughts to even notice. That is until MoMo nudged me and I cheered as well, but with less enthusiasm than before. After the concert was over, we went back stage to talk to Shownu and the others. We congratulated all of the boys. I was teasing Wonho as always for not wearing a shirt when I saw Shownu approach MoMo. I guess Wonho noticed I was distracted because he bowed and said his goodbyes before heading to their dressing room. I went over to my friends and heard Shownu complementing MoMo.
"You look really great today. I'm glad you made it to the show." He said. I came up next to her and threw my arm around his shoulder.
"Yeah she looks good every day. You did great by the way." I said to him and he shyly thanked me. Meanwhile MoMo blushed at my comment about her. We all left to go get food, which multiplied MoMo's happy mood by ten. I took them to her favorite restaurant. When we got there she hugged me before running inside. Me and Shownu looked at eachother before following, shaking our head at her antics. Dinner started out good. We just talked and had fun like we usually do. Then as the time flew by, I caught Shownu staring at MoMo again. He also started to flirt a lot and I got really uncomfortable. The worst part was that MoMo seemed to be enjoying it. By the time I had finished my food, they were laughing it up while I played with my fork. I couldn't bear to watch as my crush was stolen by my best friend right in front of my eyes. I excused myself while trying to hold back my tears and made my way to the restrooms. I looked in the mirror and sighed.
"Why am I not good enough for her?" I sighed to myself.
"You are more than enough." I heard a voice say and I almost had a heart attack. MoMo came up to me after closing the door and hugged me. I was shocked to say the least. I tried to form words, but nothing came out. Luckily I didn't have to because she spoke first.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but I wasn't sure if you felt the same way. I like you, no, I think I love you. I have for so long." She said moving back just enough to look me in the eyes. I felt lightheaded and my hands were shaking. She noticed this and held them in her own.
"But what about Shownu?" I mumbled, remembering her behavior as they talked.
"What do you mean?" She asked. I looked at her and her face was full of confusion.
"He was flirting with you all day. It looked like you were enjoying it." I said sadly. For some reason she found this funny and began to laugh.
"He was? I didn't even notice. I was distracted by how good you looked today." She said grabbing my arm and pulling me to her side. I blushed like crazy before she spoke up again.
"Now let's go eat desert!" She cheered before dragging me back to our seat. Shownu smiled at us when we came back, moreso MoMo, but this time she was aware of what was happening. She sat next to me and put her arm around my shoulder and smiled at me.
"So, do you want to share a desert babe?" She said, and both mine amd Shownus eyes grew wide.
"B-babe?" We both stuttered simultaneously. She chuckled at our behavior.
"Yeah. We're a thing now aren't we?" She said. Shownu looked suprised at this, but then he started to smile.
"I have to say I'm surpised and a little disappointed, but you guys are my best friends and I think you will make a great couple." I don't think I ever smiled that wide in my life. We all got up for a group hug. We got weird stares from the people in the restaurant, but we could care less. We were all happy now.
