She didn't make it

I gasp, blood rushing from my scalp and down my forehead. It's warm and thick, dark red. I see it through the corners of my eyes. My wrist quivers and my lips tremble.

I grunt and shout as I pull my arm out from under a rock. I roll to my tummy and hold onto the broken appendage. I hear ravaging fighting all around me. Dust covers the ground and it's all on my skin and clothes. I shake like a dog to get it off my broken skin. It doesn't work.

"Phoneix!" Someone calls me.

"I'm here," I manage a whisper, yanking myself up with my metal arm with the metal ladder above me. "I'm here."

Bending my leg, I attempt to force myself up to pull out my backup gun and get back to fighting. With one leg to keep myself standing, I find the enemy, Starscream, and aim my gun at him.

I fire.

The backlash chucks my body back onto the cement wall. I whimper and slide to the ground once again.

"Guys!" I muster a cry, hoping for anyone to find me.

I take a spare pocketknife and rip open my pant leg, ripping the threads to reveal my kneecap. There's a gash that reaches deep, and I cringe at the sight. I have no bandages to cover it this time. I have nothing to cover my pain.

"Phoneix! We need you on the field!" Lennox's voice sounds from my earpiece. I press it.

"I am in need..," Taking a deep break to continue. "Of help, please."

"Where is your location? Are you injured?" Ratchet's annoying vocal processor worries through the call.

"Yes, I'm freaking injured that's why I'm asking for help!" I grunt as a small stone falls onto my leg.

My side hits the ground, sliding against the bare stone. My military jacket must have fallen off somewhere, and it's a bit cold outside today. I cough in the slightest, wishing I could stand up and run back to the battle. But I'm afraid I can't do that today. But I'll be okay, I've suffered through worst. I'll be okay.

The warmth of blood trickles from my chin. Scratching at it, I press it between my fingers to feel some heat and texture.

I whimper once more.

"Phoneix! Guys' I found her!" Lennox screams as rumbling echoes around my ears.

Two rough hands move my body back over, onto my backside. I open my eyes and try to smile at them.

"I'll be okay."

"Oh, God...," The military man's pupils enlargen. "I need medical assistance now!"

He checks for his exact location on Earth and sends it off. I watch his fingers move across the clear watch he is wearing. Something I designed.

"I'm glad my inventions are of use," I cough up dust, dreaming to have a glass of water.

There are more feet running towards me, as another rumble as well. Probably an Autobot.

"Is the fighting over yet, Optimus?" Someone asks.

"Starscream has been eliminated. The battle is over."

I turn my head to see the leader. I crack a smile at him.

"I'll be okay,"

"I'll be okay,"

"I'll be okay," I mumble to myself over and over again in the attempt of comfort.

"Phoneix, can you stand?"

"I want you guys to know that you are my friends. Even you, Optimus."

There's now ringing in my ears.

"Stay with us now. We can't lose you." Lennox shakes my body.

I rest my head down again, licking the blood off my lips. "Family.."

 Optimus' optics widen.

The Autobot hangar is hectic as the medics run around in search of the injured. There is bandages and blood transfusion devices being rounded up as many soldiers are in need of it. The smell of alcohol wafts in the air.

"Has anybody seen Phoneix?" Moreshower, the guy who tries to lead Nest, orders for an answer.

A red and blue semi-truck rolls to a stop in the middle, a man and a woman jumping out of the passenger side door. There eyes are red and their faces, pale.

"She didn't make it this time."
