Lost and found// Daniel Seavey

Chapter 2

Hailey's pov
I just got done working so I hung up my apron and walked over to Kyla and told her that we needed to go. We walked out of the cafe and down the street.

We got to school after about 10 minutes. We had less then 5 minutes until first hour. We walked to our lockers and put away our backpacks then we walked to our first hour classes. I had math and Kyla had science. I sat down in the back corner like normal and got out my note book. I started writing the notes that were on the projector then I did the problems on the board. I was a straight a student. I was always ahead of my class in everything.

When I finished them I read. Mrs. Owens started teaching the lesson but I didn't pay attention because I already knew how to do it. I read until she told us our homework.

I did it and got done with it when we had 5 minutes left. In that time I talked to my friend Holidae until the bell rang. I walked to my locker then got my stuff for choir. I waited for kyla at her locker. When she came she got her stuff then we walked to class together. When we got to class we sat in our assigned seats and warmed up our voices. After that we did an activity that would wake up our brains. I didn't do it because I was so tired since I didn't sleep more then 30 minutes of sleep the last 2 days.
Ms. Bender: hailey please come see me.

I got up and walked to her office.
Ms. Bender: what's wrong
Me: a lot
Her: I know what you have to deal with is not ok. How much sleep have you gotten in the last week
Me: maybe 4 hours
Her: do you want to go to the nurse
Me: yeah. Do I need to write a pass?
Her: no I will email her.
Me: ok. Thanks for understanding.
Her: you are more then welcome.

I hugged her then walked to the nurses office. There were people in there so I acted like normal then when they left the nurse asked me like always.
Nurse: here for sleep
Me: yeah.
Nurse: ok go ahead

I walked in the little room that had a bed and turned off the light. I laid down a fell asleep.

Time skip
Hailey's pov
I just woke up and I have slept through 2 and a half class periods. It was now the middle of 5 period so I got up, got a pass back to class and left. I walked in the classroom and handed the pass to my teacher.
Mr. Davis: get your AR book and read for the rest of the period. You can get the vocabulary from a classmate and show them to me tomorrow
Me: yes sir

I got my book and went to the beanbag chairs and started reading. I was reading a book called "unwind" and I was really interested by it. I got four chapters done before the bell rang. This was the last class I had to go to because I already had my credits for the rest of the classes I had. I went to my locker and got my back pack and other AR books then signed out of school and went to work.

I went to the back and put away my backpack. I put on my apron and went to take orders. The 5 boys were back. I walked to their table.
Me: hello again.
Daniel: hi
Me: what do you want to eat
Jonah: we are just getting some celebratory milkshakes
Me: what is the occasion
Zach: our EP is number 1 one the I tunes pop charts
Me: wait you guys are singers
Corbyn: yeah. We are a boy band
Me: oh wow
Jack: yeah. Our name is why don't we.
Me: where did that come from
Jonah: take it away jack
Jack: ok so we all started out as solo artists. I toured with Zach and Corbyn then I met Jonah at some show. Daniel and I did some project together then we all became bros. We all have the same musical inspirations and aspirations so when the idea was brought about to maybe form a band we were like
All: why don't we
Me: wow.
Daniel: yeah. We have been a band for almost 2 years
Me: wow that is so cool. What kind of milkshakes do you guys want
Jonah: I want a chocolate covered strawberry shake
Jack: I want a strawberry milkshake
Corbyn: I want a chocolate shake
Zach: I want a strawberry banana shake.
Daniel: serious question what is the k&h shake? It sounds so strange
Me: so that isn't actually on the menu real menu. That is a menu my friends aunt made for us when we were 8. So it isn't like a real thing but it is a shake that has a bunch of candy, chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, and marshmallow cream.
Corbyn: did you guys actually drink that.
Me: yeah. It is actually really good.
Jonah: we should get one of those to share.
Jack: yeah and Daniel can get like another thing in case it is to sweet.
Daniel: yeah
Me: ok but since it is not a real thing I will put it under a different shake.
Daniel: I would like a vanilla shake
Me: ok. I will be back in about 5 minutes with the shakes.

I walked to the kitchen and started making the shakes.

After they were made I put them on a tray and started carrying them to the boys then he walked in

My dad walked in. He didn't know I got out of school early. If he saw me he would definitely hurt me. I froze. I was scared of what he was going to do so I couldn't react. That was when Daniel noticed. I saw him run over to me.
Daniel: Hailey what happened?

His voice sounded so distant.
Daniel: are you ok
Me: n-no

My throat tightened and I couldn't breathe. I felt myself start to get a panic attack. I was crying and I couldn't breathe. Daniel's voice was starting to feel farther away. It was now just a bunch of noises.

I began to feel light headed and suddenly I dropped the tray and fell. Everything went dark.
