‘Gooooooooood morning everyone, it’s 7am and you’re here with Bryan and Steve in the morning show. Have you seen the weather outside Steve? It looks like we’re going to drown in all the water from melting snow this year.’
‘Hello everyone, and yes I agree with you Bryan, this year the upcoming spring looks wet. Althought, we’ll have to ask Hady in the morning weather cast later on…….’
She growled slowly opening her eyes. It’s so damn hard to get up but it’s her duty. Female stared into the ceiling for a moment and then slowly sat up in her bed. It’s time to get up, work won’t do itself.
She lazily stood up. It was hard, but it's her everyday routine. Girl needed to do this in order to be able to do something in the day. Like, something productive.
Well, you could say she was successful but no one really knew how hard it can be for her, no one really except her parents. She worked in marketing, her father’s company. It was what she was excellent at.
Female had a sweet tongue when she wanted and could pursue any person on her side, planting her ideas inside their head without them even realizing that. Also, a big plus was that she was fluent in more than one foreign language.
It was hard when she studied, to practice them all day in order to be able to speak at least kind of good. And now, after a few years after graduation she can freely speak Italian, French and Korean. It was a good choice that she learned those, because that’s the reason the company she works at is coorporating with a few large companies from Italy and Korea.
Although the work is difficult she has to deal with being translator, interpretor, and almost anything else when it comes to dealing the documents related with those two countries, she manages it no matter what. Because it’s her work and also the wage is quite nice too, a reward for all of her hard work.
Brown haired put on her slippers and lazily walked over to the bathroom. Then, the morning ritual: brushing teeth, washing face, fixing hair and makeup. It didn’t took too long, as she was already used to it by now. As she put on her clothes, black formal pants that suited her the best, white shirt and deep red colour jacket, she walked her way over to the dining room.
Even though she was financialy able to get herself a maid, she didn’t liked the idea of someone except her walking over her house and touching her stuff.
Girl made herself a cup of coffee and few good looking sandwitches. As she ate, female went through the letters she got this morning on her mail. Work, work, bills, work… Oh, something new. A masquerade ball? Sounds intimidating.
She read further. It was an invitation. An invitation from the company in Korea she worked with. They were throwing up a masquerade ball for the partnership and sponsorship. She was asked to come as a representative of her company.
Girl thought for a moment. It will be a fuzz and there also be a lot of preparations needed… But it’s still her job and attending this kind of event can be an opportunity to meet new people and create connections for the future.
1 week later
She was kind of tired because of the assignments she had to do before leaving. Making sure everyone will do their job, giving tasks for employees, preparing herself, the luggage, she even bought the dress she’ll wear specially for this occation.
It was exhausting. A lot of work on her shoulders. But she made it in time. Flight wasn’t an easy one either. Even thought she never had a fear for flights and also she was seated in the first class, there still was somewhat unsettling feeling. Not fear, but maybe stress? She was a little anxious. Althought she knew the language and have been there a few times already, this was the first time attending such a big event.
There will be a lot of people, noise, dancing… She didn’t liked to dance. She never knew how to. She wasn’t a clumsy one, but dancing was one thing she never could do. And now she will have to, as to not to come out rude…
At the day of the masquerade, female walked from one hotel room corner to the other. All for the waiting for the evening. She didn’t knew what to do. Girl took out her computer and ended up answering some letters from work. That way, it didn’t took too long for hours to pass.
She dressed herself in a newly bought dark blue dress, which was astonishing, putting on black mask over her eyes. Her hair was put up in a lovely appropriate bun, ears decorated with few black tear-shape earrings. The appearance suited her well and she knew that.
It was about time for her to go and she didn’t bother to linger any longer. There was a person who was assigned to lead her into the hall of the hotel (where the ball was held). She thanked the young male when already at the destination and looked around and as expected didn’t saw almost none familiar faces.
Not wanting to stand awkwardly she initiated a few small talks with people here and there. They weren’t the most interesting, just something for the time to pass by. Then was when someone tapped on her shoulder lightly. Girl turned around and saw a male somewhat her age or older standing in front of her, with his hand reached out for her.
‘Should we dance, young lady?’
His soft velvet voice reached to her and she accepted his hand unconcioustly, even though she had swore herself she’ll try to avoid dancing as much as she can.
He had silky hair which shined under the light coming from the ceiling. The colour was matching his suit. It was a mix of midnight, Persian and Oxford blue. A few strings of sapphire blue was seen here and there. It really seemed that he was taking a good care of it.
The black suit with a white bowtie brought up his masculine shoulders, golden mask hid right side of his face. He had a face of an angel but at the same time a face of a sinister. Just like Lucifer. The most beautiful fallen angel. Female thought.
They started dancing slowly, as the music was just like that, and she caught herself actually dancing. I mean, ACTUALLY DANCING. She never have done this good. Well, it wasn’t much actually, almost just like slowly taking steps to the sides, but she wasn’t really good at that before either, even though it’s so simple.
A smile grew on her face and for the first time in her life she enjoyed this action. The male smirked.
‘You look happy.’
‘Does my face shows that much?’
She got embarrassed.
‘It shows a lot more, my Dear.’
He leaned over to her ear when saying that. Female’s cheeks heat up by that.
‘Really? And what more does it shows to you?’
She asked still curiously.
‘It shows love for the life. It shows passion. You are strong. I can see that In you. You’re not the giving up type.’
'Am I?’
She raised one eyebrow.
‘Yes, you are. You’re loving, hopeful, cheering. You’re everything. You’re the most perfect human being I’ve ever encountered. It’s you.’
He whispered it into her ear, in his silk voice.
‘Also, I haven’t introduced myself yet, I apologize for that. The name’s Park Jimin. It’s a pleasure in meeting you, miss.’
He smiled sweetly but the face became to blur little by little. Female didn’t understood what was happening, she started panicking.
‘One more thing, before you go, beautiful. Happy Valentine’s day.’
And it was gone. Everything was gone. The ball, the music, the male… Everything just vanished. Only the darkness was left. A pitch black endless space.
Althought, we’ll have to ask Hady in the morning weather cast later on…….’She woke up. So it was a dream. All of that was nothing more simply one lovely dream…
