Wind swirls blowing around my hair
I stand atop a bench, he sees
I watch the world change
The ocean breeze whips across my face
Water rocks under my feet
I'm lost to a voyage utterly imagined
If I were in a story i'd be irresistible
I'd be perfect, he'd come running
My illusion falters as he approaches
Suddenly I need him there with me
Deep in my mind
I invite him, first time ever
I leave reality to be alone
He comes willingly
In my mind I see it all
His hair rustling in the breeze
The salty mist lightly touching his lips
I run to him and he catches me
He loves me instantly
Amidst the waves, lost to the world, we love
I have to come back
Reality assaults me in a whole new way.
Here, he's friendly, thats all.
Last time Ill see him.
My last moment to grab a memory.
I get a phone number, a devastating hope, and a handshake.
