"For fuck's sake, Christopher, would you let it go?" Guy asks, annoyed at Chris' constant over-energetic behavior.

Chris grins and shakes his head. "There's only four hours and 21 minutes before they show up!"

"Look, I'm no scientist but I'm pretty sure that flying, time traveling deloreans hadn't been invented in 1985. Actually, I'm pretty sure that they still don't exist," Guy replies, rolling his eyes.

Jonny smiles sympathetically at Chris, who just sighs. "Look, you can make fun of me all you want, but they're going to show up. I know they are."

Phil folds his arms over his chest. "And have you thought of what will happen if they don't?" He asks.

"They're going to show up," Chris replies, his voice dripping with confidence.

Jonny squeezes his hand. "We just don't want you to be too disappointed if they don't show up, babe. We know how you get."

Chris scoffs. "You're going to be sorry when I'm meeting Doc and Marty and you chaps are stuck here in the present."

"Don't you mean the future?" Will asks, seeming to be the only one willing to play along. He smirks, and Chris' grin returns.

"Yes, the future. Silly me."

For a few moments, Chris is able to forget about what day it is so that he can continue stuffing his face full of food. Jonny chuckles at his boyfriend, and even though he's definitely more wild and crazy than any girl he'd ever dated, he wouldn't want it any other way.

His life had changed significantly since him and Chris had crossed paths. He'd gone from a depressed teenage bloke to someone who's excited about life. He had been with girls that he had enjoyed, and even shagged some, but it wasn't until he met Chris that he realized what he was missing.

"Do you think that Doc and Marty look exactly like they do in the movies?" Chris asks, chewing on a green bean.

Guy and Phil groan, while Jonny and Will chuckle. "I have a strong feeling that even if they did exist, they probably don't look like 23 year old Michael J. Fox and young Christopher Lloyd."

Chris rolls his eyes. "For your information, Michael J. Fox was 26 during the making of the second movie."

"I think you missed the point, Chris," Phil says with a grin.

"You're right. The point is that I need someone to accompany me to the Back to the Future event."

"There's an event?" Jonny asks.

Chris nods. "Do you want to come, J?"

Jonny shakes his head. "Sorry, babe, but I promised Chloe that we'd take a tour today."

"It's alright. I'll take Phil instead," Chris replies with a grin. Phil sighs, but he knows that no excuse will be good enough to sway his dear friend.

"Fine," Phil agrees with reluctance.

Guy and Will chuckle. "Way to take one for the team, Phil," Guy teases.

Phil rolls his eyes and takes the last bite of his salad. "Yeah, well..."

They clean up what little remained of their lunch and decide to stay for a bit longer to touch up Jonny's new riff. After about two hours, Chris starts to get far too antsy to do anything productive.

"Come on, Philly! I want to go!"

Phil sighs. "Okay, fine. J, do you think you can work on that riff some more? We can meet back here tomorrow, when Chris isn't literally bouncing off the walls." That earns a chuckle from the other band members.
