(A/n) Hello! This is my first attempt at an actual book that I have hope for so I hope you enjoy! :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The frigid water began to fill my lungs within seconds of my eyes opening. I didn't know which way was up. Down. I could tell I was already starting to get lightheaded. My hand automatically went to my head and I felt my fingertips brush against something solid. I put the other hand up to feel it. Ice. How the fuck did I get under solid ice? I tried to push on it and hit it, but all that did was propel me downwards. I began trying to work my way around the ice trying to feel for an opening somewhere. Anywhere. Slowly my legs began to feel heavier and harder to kick. My arms felt like the 10 lb sandbags I had to hold above my head in 7th grade. I was struggling to keep my eyes open as I felt myself slide deeper into the water. My vision began to blur as I watched the dim light above suddenly get brighter. I felt a pull. A force pulling at my arms, but I could not feel my arms themselves. It was as if my entire body was numb. I lost all vision and all feeling in my body. I couldn't see anything. I couldn't feel anything. Suddenly I heard a voice.

Listen to me. I know you can't do anything, but I also know you can hear me. I'm taking you to a camp where they will help you. Sit still and enjoy the ride. I couldn't make out where the voice was coming from. It seemed to be coming from inside my own head. I could hear the wind rustling the trees. Trees. There are trees! Wait...why do I care about the trees? I can't remember...

I felt myself being lifted into the air on what I assumed was some kind of stretcher, although I couldn't feel anything, but a slight pressure underneath me. I couldn't tell whether or not we were moving, but I was slowly getting feeling back in my fingers and toes. I wiggled them a little to test them. They seemed to work just fine. I could suddenly feel the wind on my face as we sped through the forest around me and suddenly I realized I could see again. I sat up, but quickly regretted it after getting whipped with two different branches within just a few seconds. I panicked when I realized there was nothing underneath me holding me up. I felt around underneath me and felt something rough and scaly. I looked again, but there was nothing there.

Sit still. Your going to set me off balance stupid. Can't you see the trolls chasing us? I mean I know you have a death wish, but jeez dude. Have some sanity will you?  We veered to the right so quickly I fell to the ground and rolled for what felt like over a minute, but was probably only a few seconds. The ground is shaking. Why the bloody hell is the ground shaking? I looked around in confusion. Then suddenly I saw them. They are probably the ugliest things I have ever seen. Huge. 12 feet tall and the color of old people shit after a diet of all greens. Warts and moles covered the thing from head to toe. The ground was shaking so bad now I'm not sure how I ended up on my feet but I did. I couldn't see my hands or feet, but I could feel them. I was on all fours. What the fuck? How the fuck am I on all fours when I don't have knees? Wait. SHIT I don't have knees! What. The. FUCK. Is. Going. On. I glanced over in the direction of the giant thing I saw earlier and had a sudden sinking feeling because it was no longer there. I froze and turned around slowly...suddenly I was no longer on the ground, but being swept off into the air with the ground ten feet below me within a second.
