The silence of our love gets in the way.
The difficulty to speak is in the both of us. Shoya is full of regret and past decisions can't always be forgiven. Nishimiya has been broken down by those past decisions that have lowered her self esteem.
Possibility #1. Could Ueno secretly like Shoya because she could be jealous for the sympathy that Shoya has for Nishimiya. As to why she hates Nishimiya.
Possibility #2. Now this is just a theory by my friend but could Nagatsuka be gay and secretly like Shoya. Think about it I mean he is super protective over who should talk to Shoya and he even say in the movie "Shoya has accepted me for who I am"
