"We found her." he announced on call cheerfully.
"Who?" the caller asked Rehan.

"I'll see you on 25th sep, then we'll talk about it." he continued and hanged up the call.

Farah pov
I was driving back home that day after I had picked up the case details. Then I had lunch with Ahmer. I was driving home with my maximum concentration on the road and grip on the steering wheel but suddenly my eyes fell on a brown box lying on the passenger seat beside mine.

It was that box of chocolates which Ahmer gifted me today. We had saved one for Seher!

It's absolutely funny to note that few years back me and Ahmer were no more than strangers but that trip to Lahore changed everything. From that day we are best friends despite the fact we are absolute opposites of each other. Every time we met there was something, like a spark between that  made are relation  unique and special up to to pint that we can't even imagine a day without talking to or thinking about each other.

Every promotion, every birthday, every occasion almost seems impossible without him. The point is, things happen because they are supposed to happen, they take place when they had to, so every thing is actually pre planned. Everything is decided by FATE!

In highly sophisticated settings, in a conference hall Inspector Rehan was busy in conducting a meeting to his team.

"Sir, in order to track him down we need to study him and his activity." Inspector Naima added to the conversation.
"His previous history aswell." Hashir said.
"Well, yes. Do work on it," Inspector Rehan replied.
"How is your research going, Miss Farah?" Inspector Rehan asked her as he leaned towards his laptop placed on the conference table.
"Sir almost there." Farah replied.
"That's good. We need to move forward by maximum two weeks." Inspector Rehan announced to all of them while pushing his laptop to close.

After a while, when the meeting was done Inspector Rehan left the room leaving behind others who soon dispersed towards their respected duties for the day. As a criminologist Farah had been busy with her colleagues doing analysis on her subject from the case.

The subject was a serial killer responsible for committing six murders in a row over a span of three months, which is hideous and dangerous for every common man roaming around the city fearlessly. Inspector Rehan was handed over this case by the senior officials of the department and was supposed to track him down and arrest him as soon as possible before he commits any further crime.

Being a busy day at work, everyone was engaged in their assigned duties. Just like them he was also busy staring at his computer screen, wearing thick black spectacles, his disorderly unbuttoned sleeves while his black eyes focused on the bright screen and his right hand clutching the mouse roughly.

"Ahmer." a guy similarly dressed to him called out to him but he appeared to be deaf.
"Ahmer!" he called again, this time louder with a sarcastically annoyed face.
"Hmm." he answered in a low and inattentive tone, still hooked to the screen.
"Are the files done?" he asked him.
"Yes they are." he replied pointing towards the bunch of files lying on his desk and he, with the files left.

Ahmer sighed, took off his spectacles and placed them beside the mouse. He closed his eyes to relax and moved back until his back touched the chair back, stretching his arms around the his chair, He moved forward and grabbed his phone, he checked something on it and then, putting on his spectacles back, he took a long deep breath and continued with his work.

It was still evening and in the sky the golden sun was about to sink towards the west while Ahmer was driving his way back home from work. Swaying his head and fingers on the beat of  classic pakistani music, he was smoothly holding the steering wheel.

Usually Ahmer returns from work by 8 pm but today he had taken a short leave from work. He was looking around at the pleasant surroundings outside the windows while shaking his head with the beat of music. He was taken back to reality by his ringing phone and leaned towards the passenger seat to pick up his vibrating phone! CRASH!

In a quite big living room, with creme walls and navy blue carpeted floor, beside the huge rectangular window with a beautiful view of the night, a man of age around sixties was relaxing on a brown arm chair with a book in his lap.

He had curly black hair and slight beard on his oval shaped face. He had a heavy physique. He was dressed in grey blue attire and was relaxing with his bare feet resting on the carpet.
He was busy reading the novel in his palms. In the meanwhile a woman of the same age, dressed in maroon attire entered the room with two cups of boiling hot tea from the corridor. She had thick light brown hair, neatly tied in a bun. She handed the man one cup complemented with a pleasant smile to which he replied back with another warm smile. She sat down on a grey sofa in front of the arm chair while drinking tea from her cup.

He took another soothing sip of his tea, just then the landline started to ring. He stood up, gesturing the woman to stay, and slowly walked towards the phone. He slowly placed his cup on the table on which the landline was fixed and attended the call.

"Hello." he answered the call with a heavy but calm voice.
"Are you Ahmer Murtaza's father?" the caller asked him.
"Yes. Murtaza Ahmad." he replied.
"Your son got into an accident. He is in the general hospital. Please come soon." he told him in one go.
"Yes, I am coming." he said in a panicked voice.
