Feelings Return

Alex wakes up on Finn's bed, she has been sleeping for 18 hours straight. When she gets up her legs are weak. And she falls to the floor, and her neckalce glides across the room. She gets up with a blanket wrapped around herand goes over to pick up her necklace. There is only a bit of the golden chain left, and the heart is burns on the sides. She sat on the floor, and opened it. Her mother and fathers picture was still in there, but burnt on the edges, barely showing their faces. The pictures and necklace were the only thing she had left of them. She got up and climbed down the ladder. She wiped her eyes, her tears were still fresh from the day before. When she got to the kitchen, Finn was sitting down and Princess Bubblegum was there. Alex stood quietly.

(PB)"Finn! Why did you do it?!?! She can't survive near the Flame King! Do you know what she'll do to her the next time she see's her!? She'll probably kill her!"

(Finn)"I know I know! I'm sorry, but I need to ask you a favor."

(PB)"What is it?"

(Finn)"Flame Princess..she burned Alex's necklace....and it's very important to her, can you fix it,"

Alex finally decided to but in.

(Alex)"It's ok, I don't want it fixed, its not like it used to be, but its still mine, and I like it the way it is,"

PB runs towards Alex.

(PB)"Oh my gosh! You look awful! Come with me, we'll get you cleaned up,"

PB gives Finn an ugly looks that said "You did this"

PB and Alex go into the bathroom. PB opens the window.

(PB)"Come on Alex, we're going back to the kingdom,"

(Alex)"What? Why?"

(PB)"It was wrong to choose Finn as your guardian, he's emotionally unstable right now, I should have just made you a house inside the kingdom..."

(Alex)"Princess its ok, I'm fine now, you shouldn't worry about things like this, I'm trying to survive right? So isn't this good for me?"

(PB)"No, it's not good, Finn put you in danger! I can't risk another human for this kind of madness!"

Alex looked at her necklace charm.

(Alex)"Ok...let's go,"

An hour later

(Finn)"Don't you think they're taking a little too long? Maybe I should check on them.."

(Jake)"No man leave them alone, girls need there time,"

(Finn)"Dude its been a whole hour! How much more time do they need to get ashes and dirt off?"

(Jake)"Your right,"

Finn and Jake head toward the bathroom. Finn knocks on the door.

(Finn)"PB? Alex? Are you almost done?"

There was no answer.

Finn tries calling again, but a bit louder.

Still no answer, not even a sound of water on footsteps.

Finally Finn opens the door.

(Jake)"What is it?"

(Finn)"Nothing....they're gone,"

Princess Bubblegum and Alex run into the castle.

(PB)"Hurry before they start looking for you."

They head into a secret passage way, and they walk down a long spiral staircase. At the bottom there is a wooden door that has a skull on it. Princess knocks on the door and a turtle opens the door.

(Turtle)"Welcome back Princess,"

They walk in to see loads of books and toys.

(PB)"You can stay here for now, you have lots of books and toys to keep you entertained."

Alex looks at the toys, they're walking around and playing with each other. She smiles and grabs one. It looks at Alex and smiles. She lifts up a finger and the toy starts punching her finger.

(Alex)"What are these? They are so cute!"

(PB)"Just an invention I worked on before, they are living and love playing with other, they'll keep you company while your here."

(Finn)"We need to find her! She could be anywhere in Ooo by now!"

(Jake)"Dude it's fine, the Princess probably has her somewhere safe,"

(Finn)"No dude! Its not ok! We need to find her!"

(Jake)"Finn, why are you worrying so much? Your acting like....nevermind,"

(Finn)"Like what!?"

(Jake)"Like when you first met Flame Princess, and you wanted to do anything you could to see her again,"

Finn blushes. But quickly looks down.

(Finn)"No way! That's crazy!"

(Jake)"Is it? Or is it just that you like her? Dude it's fine if you do, I mean, it seems kind of wrong to like someone after like two days, but you started liking Flame Princess 1 minute after you met her."

(Finn)"Even if I do like her, I hurt her too much to let her go, I can't just pretend nothing happened,"

(Jake)"That's what I like to hear, hop on let's go find her,"

Finn jumps on Jakes back and they run out the door.

Traveling at amazing speed, they run towards the kingdom.

They jump into a castle window and look for the Princess. She is in her lab as always and she turns around to see them at the door.

(Finn)"Where's Alex!"

(PB)"None of your buisness,"

(Jake)"We will break every bottle until you tell us where she is,"

(PB)"Oh please you wouldn't even do it,"

Finn raises his hand and tips over a bottle. It falls off the table and breaks on the floor. The acids goes through the floor.

(PB)"Fine, I'll take you to her,"

They head into the secret passage way and go into the door. They see Alex playing with the little toy people. She is smiling and laughing like she never has. She turns around and see's Finn at the door. She looks at him and then looks away focusing on the little toy people. Finn walks up to her, and joins in. Alex smiles.

(Alex)"So your back,"

(Finn)"I've have always been here,"

Finn hugs her and feels something he hasn't felt in a long time.....love....
