Damons POV

I sighed.
"Wanna play some pool?" I heard Elena say to Liam before I walked away.
"Didn't think you were the type, but yeah sure" he smiled that jerky smile.
When they left to go to the upstairs balcony area I rolled my eyes and groaned.
"Now can I tear this guys throat out?" I asked annoyed. It should be me playing pool with Elena, not that imbecile.
"You know you can't"
"What you mean is I shouldn't, because you know damn well I can"
"Just relax Damon, look we can try again some other time. I don't think stalking her and trying to talk to her every single day is gonna help anything. Just...give it some time"
"How the hell can I possibly relax? I mean just look at the guy! Trying to be all cuddly with Elena, its infuritaing" I started to go off.
I was trying my hardest to supress all this anger, but I just needed to punch something.
"You don't want to do this Damon, Elena won't forgive you. She really likes him. They've been on quite a few dates now"
I clentched my fists, and my teeth were just about grinding, "you're not helping right now"
I coudlnt do this anymore. The repulsive thoughts about the details of their relationship was sending me over the edge. Liam's head was mine now. I quickly turned so I could head upstairs to rip his head off right in front of everyone.
"Wait Damon!-"
*BOOM!*

The explosion caught everyone off guard. Some screamed and some were frozen with fear. smoke came from the double doors of the kitchen and slowly started to fill the main room. Two cooks emerged, coughing and hovering low to the ground.
"FIRE!" One of them yelled
And just like that, the sea of people started to scatter, running towards every possible exit. I'm sure at that time, the one thing on everyone's mind was to run. The only thing that came to my mind was Elena. She's upstairs. Once more I was ready to walk up there, but then another cook came from the double doors and when he feel to his knees coughing he knocked over a small table of glasses filled with 100% alcohol. Right then and there a fire erupted with its flames of glory and it set the guy on fire which left him screaming bloody murder rolling on the ground. Stefan ran over to help him, but I think we both knew it was a little too late.
I quickly looked up to see if I could spot Elena. She was no where in sight. I fought my way past people and got to the bottom of the stairs. The fire was spreading quickly with all this carpet everywhere, and with just my luck it beat me to the stairs.
"Elena!" I yelled
Then I looked over across the room, there was another set of stairs. The fire didn't reach there thankfully. People were pushing other people out of the way so they could exit.
"Damon!"
I looked back up. Elena, she was there. I smiled quickly, thank god.
"Elena go the other way! The other stairs!" I said urgently.
She nodded scared, then her arm got pulled by Liam, leading her across the room. Hm, at least he's doing one thing right. I'm still killing him though.
I then rushed to the other side. By now more than half the bar was outside. All the people that were on the balcony had already pushed their way downstairs. It was just her and Liam at the top of the long stairs. Then as Elena and Liam were descending, Elena's leg went through the floor. Liam looked back and tried to help her for a split second then quickly realized that the flames were reaching the bottom of those stairs as well. So did I and I was doing my best to continue pushing the remainder of the people out of the way.
To my surprise, Liam stopped trying to help her and rushed his way down the stairs before the flames caught up. Oh, so many words to describe my absolute anger to this guy, but I knew now that there was nothing stopping me from slowly ripping out his insides later. In my head I said screw it and I used my vamp speed to get past the terrible crowd just before the flames decided to hit. I'm sure everyone's mind is too scrambled to mind me.
"Elena" I said grabbing her hand
"Damon...please" she said, struggling to get her foot out.
"Hey it's ok, I'm here, hold on"
I gripped one of the broken pieces of the floor and I tore it off, leaving a big enough hole to get her out. I lifted her up and she groaned in pain grabbing her foot. It looked like a piece of the boards went pretty deep into her calf. I decided that I was gonna pull the spike out later, I just needed to get her out of here.
"Here hold on", I put her hand around my shoulder and my arm around her waist.
"Stefan!" I yelled
"Yeah I'm here!" He yelled back, "give me a second!" And he vamp speeded out of the room and through a door on the other side.
"Are you ok?" I asked her alarmed.
"Yeah I guess...but, Liam. He just-"
"Yeah I know, and honestly I don't care what you say, I'm gonna kill that sorry son of a bitch. You can count on that"
Right then, water started raining down on us along with an alarm that bounced off the walls. Nice job brother, I thought.
After about a minute, the fire cleared out and all that was left were black tinted surfaces and the smell of burnt wood.
"Ok here we go" I said, and I picked Elena up and vamp speeded down the stairs and gently placed her down. She looked down at her leg grimacing in pain.
I knelt down beside her, "here let me"
I gently placed my hand on her leg and firmly grasped the spike. I looked at her for permission. She nodded and braced herself. I made no hesitation to yank it out. She nearly collapsed as she gripped my shoulder for balance. I tossed the spike to the side and got back up to hold her steady as her wound healed. It took no more than a few seconds.
"No worries, good as new" I smiled at her, relief filling my body.
She gave a dry chuckle but I could feel her gratitude. I was still holding onto her, and she was still holding onto me.
"Um...thank you, Damon"
I smiled, "Of course. You feel okay? Can you walk?"
She blinked a few times, "uh, yeah, I think so"
She let go. My skin suddenly feeling cold.
Stefan walked in, "Everything alright?"
"Yeah, we're good" she assured him.
He nodded
"Yeah, but that asshat won't be. Just wait till I get my hands on-"
"Damon, stop" she interrupted me.
"What? Don't tell me you're defending him, that dickhead left you to die! He has everything coming to him", anger rising in my voice.
"I'm not defending him, I just-don't want anyone to die ok"
"Wait hold on, what happened?" Stefan asked.
"That weasel left Elena on the stairs to die when she got her foot stuck. He fled selfishly like a coward" I enlightened him, "now I'm gonna make his death wish come true"
"Are you serious?" He sounded surprised.
"Dead serious" I said.

After we got out of the bar and the fire department came, Stefan and I went home while Elena headed back to her dorm. I was sitting on the couch drinking bourbon, plotting about a million ways to kill Liam. Stefan went to go help Caroline with the Bonnie thing. I know I should be too, but I can't get Elena out of my head. But hey, maybe helping them out could be a nice distraction. I sighed and I poured the rest of my bourbon from my glass into the fireplace where the fire set ablaze for about a second. I put my jacket on to go see Stephan and Caroline when I got a text.
Elena: Hey, thanks again for earlier today. Listen I thought about it and...I'm willing to sit down with you and listen to whatever you have to say.

That one message was like an injection to the heart of serotonin and energy. I was also pretty happy to know that she never deleted my number. She actually wants to meet. Ok, we're getting somewhere now. Maybe I could get her back quicker than I thought, as long as I don't screw it up.

Damon: Great. When?

Elena: Tomorrow?

Hey again. This will probably be ending soon, maybe 5 or more chapters tops. But I will be making another Delena series where I could just do pure lemon for those of you who are into that. Hehe. Anyways, hope your enjoying so far, I have fun making these.
