Chapter 1

A/N: I don't live in a country with 4 seasons but I knew it must be winter now ( Or am I mistaken?) but I do hope you guys okay if I started this chapter with a Summer.

Fluttershy's POV

Summer arrived in a blink, I didn't realized the holidays was getting near and here I was, still packing my things for my whole Summer vacation in Manhattan, where my brother, Zephyr, opened up a barber shop. He was a hair stylish from what I've been informed ( Was it? ) and my parents asked me to go there and helped him. He was actually still schooling, he used to school at the same school as mine but when the Summer came he went to Manhattan and opened up a barber shop using his own money that he had collected. I must say, as his big sister, I am impressed and very proud of his changing.

I did wished I could spent my Summer with my friends or even bring them to see Zephyr too but they had their own things to do for holidays.... Rainbow Dash was the fastest one to say " NO! I mean -- Nah, it's fine." When I asked them if they wanted to tag along with me. She must had dislike Zephyr and it wasn't a problem to figured out why.

" Honey, dinner is ready! " Called my mom from downstairs. I actually lived alone but my parents came and visited me 2 days ago.

" All right, mom!" I replied, locking my luggage and walked downstairs. As I sniffed the air, I knew mom must had cook my favorite dish.

I saw my parents sat on the dinner table, smiling at me and gestured me to eat. There were only clattering of forks and spoons and munching sound filled the room but my father was the one who spoke first.

" Fluttershy, we are grateful you agreed to help your brother with his work -- his business had been very badly this week." He said and I rather swallowed my meal hastily and almost choked.

" Why? Did something happened?" I asked, considering my parents never mentioned why should I go all the way to Manhattan.

" Oh, your brother told us there were this naughty kids kept messing up the place then someone broke into his shop and he almost set fire in his kitchen at the rent house we got for him.. " My mom said sadly. " Poor boy..."

A sympathy feeling filled my chest. I guessed going to see my brother wasn't that bad. I do hoped I could helped him. As I chewed my food, I wondered how come he almost set fire in the kitchen when he didn't know how to cook. Oh brother. Always full of surprises.

"... And Angel loves carrots and vegetables but don't give him too much or he gets tummy ache. And he's also pretty picky." I said as I gave dad my pet shop's key. I had to used a taxi since my car was sent for repair and also, I needed someone to look over my pets and I had a high trust for my parents but I still couldn't help but to get slightly worried.

" Don't worry, we'll take care of them." My dad said, stuffing the key into his pocket and hugged me. " Off you go, sweetie."

" Don't forget to send Zephyr our love and text us when you arrive there!" My mom said and I nodded as I got into the taxi.

I waved at my parents as the taxi began to drove away and when we turned into a corner, I didn't see my parents again. I relaxed my body and gazed at the forget-me-not blue sky with birds flapping their wings and soared gracefully in the air. I remembered the time when Princess Twilight visited me and my friends and told us anything about the Pony world that we wanted to know. She told me I was a Pegasus, a pony that could fly and I had flew a few times when I transformed. At first it felt so weird and scary because I am slightly scared of heights but I got used to it.
