Javier couldn't count how many times he had a gun pointed in his face. Right now, that makes about the fifth time today.
"Te tengo perras de miedo. Deberías haber visto tus caras." (I got you scary bitches. You should have seen your faces.) Nicolás laughed, putting the pistol back into his waistband.
His silver police badge shimmered when the sun hit it. Nicolás Serratos was a man that grew up with Javier, Diego, and Manuel, but instead of becoming drug runners and hitmen like the three, he became a police officer and many of his friends dropped him after that because no one wanted to be associated with a cop.
"Ves, es por eso que nadie jode contigo ahora. Siempre estás jugando." (See, that's why nobody fucks with you now. You're always playing.) Manuel panted, wiping sweat from his brow.
He had actually thought they were caught for a minute. If he didn't know it was Nicolás, he might have capped his ass.
"La próxima vez, voy a sacarte el culo." (Next time, I'm gonna pop your ass) Manuel seethed, sick of Nicolás' dumb antics. Manuel didn't really care for Nicolás or Nicolás' white friend, Sebastian. Diego had told Manuel why Sebastian was really here, to get his sister, Chloe who had ran away from home and was now David Gonzalo's top whore in his illegal prostitution ring. American white girls sold in Columbia, every man and even women wanted to see how white girls were in bed. Javier and Diego had both had their share of Chloe and from what Manuel had said, it was the best piece of ass they had ever had.
"Ooh, estoy temblando en mis botas. ¿Oíste sober ese tiroteo en el callejón Ave?" (Ooh, I'm shakin' in my boots. You hear about that shooting in Ave alley?) Nicolas asked leaned against the car,
"Nah, no sabemos una mierda sobre un tiroteo. Bájate de mi auto." (Nah, we don't know shit about a shooting. Get off my car.) Diego shook his head, hitting the gas and pulling away from the curb. Nicolás didn't have time to move as he hit the ground, hard. The three men laughed as they watched Nicolás flip them the bird in the rearview.
"Damn D, you know he's gonna be on your ass for that one." Javier chuckled, checking his phone.
He noticed the 5 missed calls from his mother. He sighed and unlocked the phone to call her back. His finger hovered over the call button. He looked at his friends and they were occupied talking about the club. Javier clicked call and placed the phone on his ear waiting for his mother to answer. The call barely had time to go through as he heard his mother's shrilly voice begin yelling at him.
"Javier Ramon Walsh Del la Rosa! ¿Estás tratando de darme un ataque al corazón?" (Javier Ramon Walsh Del la Rosa! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!) Catalina shouted, Javier had to move the phone from his ear because she was just that loud.
"No, mamá." He sighed as he caught Manuel staring at him.
Manuel smirked and nudged Diego who was waiting at a stoplight.
"You bet not." Javier mouthed as Manuel began making inappropriate moans and grunts. Javier covered the phone and glared at Manuel,
"Stop bitch!" He hissed as Diego joined in. Javier rolled his eyes and tried his best to muffle his stupid friends.
"¿Quién es ese? ¿Estás en un burdel?" (Who is that? Are you in a brothel? You better not be!) Catalina asked,
"No, mamá. Estoy con Diego Manny. Están siendo realmente inmaduros." (I'm with Diego and Manny. They're being real immature.)
Javier chuckled as the two men stopped. "Put me on speaker." Catalina demanded,
"You in trouble now." Javier laughed hysterically as Catalina began to use their full names and proceed to yell at them for being immature for two 24 year old men.
