Kara Danvers POV:
I walked into the very familiar glass building. I had a target that I needed to get to. I marched past the front desk and up the elevator. I swung the big office doors and took a deep breathe.
"Lena Luthor you have 30 seconds to explain why my office is full of flowers once again." I stared at the back of her chair as she laughed.
"Well you owe me an explanation?!" I laughed out. She turned around and her emerald green eyes captivated my attention. My breath got stuck in my lungs for a moment.
"Can't I surprise my best friend without a reason?" Lena laughed while questioning me. I glared back at her trying not to laugh.
"Most of the time no" I respond fixing my glasses to distract her from the redness in my cheeks. When I look at her again she's just staring at me.
"Well Mrs. Danvers you are right, your office is full of flowers because I missed you dearly and knew this would get you over here rather quickly," Lena explained while looking at the ground. I could see the blush rising to her cheeks. I couldn't help but laugh at her.
"What are you laughing at Kara?" Lena asked me while still looking at the ground.
"The fact that the CEO of a large company is blushing from embarrassment," I laughed it off and went over to hug her. "Next time you miss me though just let me know and i'll just fl--fling, yeah fling myself over here in a flash," I said trying to keep myself from running off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Lena Luthor POV:
I look up from my desk to the white couch to see my favorite person in the world littering my couch. I could see the steady rise and fall of her chest indicating she was asleep. I silently shook my head. "Kara, you need to wake up and go home," I spoke hoping this would wake her, but to my dismay there were no results. I stood from behind my desk and gently sat down on the table near Kara. I lifted her head and slid myself her, she shifted for a moment then just nestled into my stomach.
It was the middle of the night when she started to shake. I woke to her shaking and drenched in sweat. I ran my finger through her hair hoping she would calm down, then she started to talking and panic.
"No not her please No don't hurt her!" Kara yelled in her sleep I pulled her into me.
"Hey, hey Kara deep breaths everything is okay, calm down your fine." I whispered over and over again in her ear.
"LENA! No stop hurting her she did nothing!" Kara was now screaming in her sleep, tears were slowly slipping down my face.
3rd POV:
Kara shot up like lightning in Lena's lap tears rushing down her face as she shook her head of the nightmare. Lena just sat there waiting for Kara to notice her presences. 10 minutes had passes and Kara still hadn't noticed her presences in the room, she was just staring into nothing. Lena reached out her hand to tap Kara's shoulder.
"You died... I failed to save you... Lena I'm so sorry," Kara whispered to herself still unaware of Lena.
"Hey, I'm right here, no need to apologize," Lena whispered, causing Kara to whip her head around as fast as lightning. Tears were still pouring down Kara's face when Lena pulled her into her chest. Kara just burrowed herself into Lena.
"I thought you were de-" "No i'm right here Kara, i'm not going anywhere anytime soon," Lena said pulling Kara's head up to eye level.
