CAUSING FUSS
The cafeteria got crowded easily because of the commotion made by the Queen herself. She's standing in front of me, arms crossed, eyebrows lifted, and looking at me from head to toe. Nasa likod naman niya ang mga kaibigan na nasisiyahan sa nangyayari.
"Well look who's here!" Serena said loudly, making the students inside the cafeteria look in our direction. "The bitch who shamelessly kissed Alexius, staging it like an accident."
Because of what she said, students are now talking, bringing up the post that was taken down in the university's page. Students are murmuring and commenting about what they saw. Speculating and agreeing on what Serena is claiming.
"So it is her?" one student whispered to her friend.
"Hindi halata sa mukha niya na kaya niya iyong gawin."
"How dare she?! She's not even worth looking at?"
"Iyan ang nagagawa ng mga desperada."
"She must be that delusional to plan it ahead. What a freak!"
"She's dead. Serena is really mad right now."
Nakakabingi! Kahit alam kong walang katotohanan ang mga binabato nilang mga salita, masakit pa rin na naririnig ko ito ngayon. I've been ignoring this for a week. I can't even sleep sometimes because I slightly blame myself for what happened.
What if I didn't feel like going to the restroom that time? What if we just went home after eating ice cream? Or what if it is not Alexius who saved me when I fell?
I want to run! I badly want to hide from the judgmental eyes that are surrounding me. I badly want to call for help. But reality hits me.
I'm all alone now. They confronted me when Fran was out. But having the thought that they can do what they want to do freely in this four corner space, I'm thankful that they can't drag Fran into this.
Mas mabuti sigurong ako na lang.
Huminga ako ng malalim at hinarap si Serena na nanlilisik ang mata na nakatitig sa akin. Hindi sila titigil kung hahayaan ko lang sila. Kailangan kong lumaban. I won't let them ruin my image anymore.
Wala akong ginawang masama, kaya walang rason para matakot ako sa kanila. Dahil kahit pag baliktarin man ang mundo, alam ko ang tama. Alam ko ang totoo.
Gathering all the courage I have, I looked at her directly.
"Believe it or not, It's an accident. It's not intentional as what the one who posted the video is claiming." I said, not backing out of her stare.
She laughed mockingly at me. "Oh really?! You're now making excuses? For what? For us to believe you?" she pushed me slightly making me step back. She did it multiple times and I just kept stepping back. "No one will ever believe you, you liar!"
This time, she pushed me forcefully, making me fall on the floor. At dahil doon naihagis ko sa ere ang food tray na hawak ko, laman ang pagkain na binili ni Fran. Dahil sa lakas ng impact ay hindi ako nakailag agad sa pabagsak na babasaging plato ng carbonara sa ulo ko.
Everyone gasped because of what they saw, but no one even helped. Instead they laughed and told me that I deserved it since I hurt Alexius on that day.
Malakas na tawanan ang sumakop sa buong cafeteria. Some are even recording, taking videos of my misery. Halos kasi ng nandirito ay sigurado akong may galit sa akin. At kakampi sila ni Serena. Ang iba naman ay hindi na nakialam sa gulo at tahimik na ipinagpatuloy ang pagkain. Takot na baka madamay sila.
I felt dizzy, it's like I;m spinning like a top. I groaned in pain. I touched my head while trying to get up but I couldn't. My head is in pain because of the impact of the plate. It even breaks when it falls onto my head.
