The day started off like any other normal day. Her alarm rang, making Scarlett open one eye and start wishing that she had five more minutes of sleep. The sun was shining, birds chirping. All in all a beautiful morning. With a groan, the teenage girl got up from bed, her hazel brown hair all over the place.

To Scarlett's disapproval, it was Monday. Which ment going to Goliath High for another day. Scarlett quickly got dressed in her normal attire. Black skinny jeans, a Black Veil Brides tee, and her leather jacket. Her make up was just simple eyeliner and mascara. Her chucks her one her feet as she descended the stairs. Hearing her mom in the kitchen, the sixteen year old girl contemplated whether or not to go in there.

Her mom was a great mom when she wasn't upset. Hoping that today was a good day for her mom, she walked into the kitchen and picked an apple up for breakfast. Her mom didn't even give her a second glance. Feeling the tension in the kitchen, she quickly got her backpack and left. Rather walk slowly to school in the freezing cold then deal with an possible outburst from her mother.

The cold air hit her and she simply sighed in content. Scarlett loved this time of year. The bare trees, frost on the grass, sun shining through the branches. Just beautiful. Something she didn't think of herself.

The young girl never had good self esteem. She also had bad confidence issues. Being by herself was something that she welcomed. Being able to draw anything that she saw, she had that as a comfort. Get lost in whatever she's drawing.

Too soon the school came in her line of vision. Her hazel brown eyes scanned the front of the school and saw multiple people talking in their significant groups. Clique's as there called. Scarlett never got the understanding of them. Just another way to make people feel insignificant in her eyes.

Walking quickly to her locker, she saw the word 'freak' spray painted on it in black paint. No one liked her. She stayed by herself. Listening to her 'emo' music as some people called it. Although, those songs and bands were her salvation. Her life. Her heart. It helped her day by day to listen to those songs. Be able to deal with everything around her.

Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned her head to see who it was. Margie Lilac with her followers. Jake Simmle. Cassie Loche. Holden Brak. The people that continued to make her life a living hell.

A giggle came from Margie before she spoke. "Look at what we have here. The goth that cries herself to sleep.", with that said, her minions laughed as they watched the cornered girl just look to the ground. Trying not to listen to what they had to say.

Margie flipped her bleach blonde hair, her face caked in makeup. Making her look like a clown. Scarlett didn't dare to talk back. Everything gets worse if she does. She just wanted some peace at school for once. But, apparently that was to much for ask for.

Scarlett started to walk away only to be pushed against the lockers by Jake. Her shoulder making contact with the lock, making it ache. Just deal with it, the monsters will go away soon.  Was all Scarlett repeated to herself in her head. She barely spoke as it is because it always got her into trouble no matter if it was good or bad.

Everybody started to laugh at the cowering girl. It was fun to them to pick on her for them and everyone else in the school. Someone coming around the corner had them stop laughing and Scarlett looked up to see the counselor of the school, Mr. Jaiser. One of the small amount people at school who liked Scarlett and hated to see her put through things like this. In his words, 'She is fragile.'.

Margie and her minions emediatley stopped laughing. Knowing what was going to happen. "You kids leave her alone. I've talked to you about this before and I know that the principal will not go easy on you guys for bullying another stupid. Get to class before the bell starts.", and with a smirk from Margie, they left. Mr. Jaiser simply lifted Scarlett's head and sighed. Shooing her off to class.

He knew that she could do anything she wanted to if she just got her confidence back. But, Scarlett was the type of girl to hide in the shadows. Even though many of her teachers love to see her art and what she can do with a pencil. They never had a bad thing to say about her.

Scarlett walked into her first class, English with Mrs. Sreater, and quickly went to the far corner desk. No one noticed her in that seat. But a new boy sitting in the deal next to her, caught her attention. Not a lot of people transfer to Goliath High.

His green eyes were on her the moment she entered. Her wavy brown hair hid her face, her hazel brown eyes met his for a second before she sat down and got her sketch book out. Trying to ignore the stare that felt like it was burning through her jacket, she started drawing a girl who was walking through the woods trying to get her mind off of the boy sitting next to her.

The bell rang, letting the class start. Mrs. Sreater started talking about a book that Scarlett already knew like the back of her hand. So, the assignments were going to be easy for her. Continuing to draw, Scarlett simply ignored everyone. Getting lost in her art.

She knew this boy was going to be trouble just how he kept looking at her. Like he was enticed by her. But, Scarlett didn't need to worry about boys.

She needed to worry about how she was going to survive another day in her life.
