Marcus' P.O.V.
When he said it I was so surprised and scared and happy and confused all at the same time.
It was the best fucking feeling in the world.
He stuttered and mixed his words to fix what he said, but I didn't care. I couldn't help it.
I leaned in a pressed my lips against his.
To my relief, he kissed me back.
My hands rose from my sides and squished his cheeks to keep him right where he was.
He pulled apart first.
"We can't stay here." He said with complete seriousness
At first I was surprised to hear a sentence like that come from someone like him, but I realised he was right.
"Alright, let's go."
Before either of us could back out I grabbed his hand and ran out of my seat. The Warden rose from their slumber only to realise what we were doing a little too late. I kicked open the door and ran down the hallways. We were chased by around 5 teachers, but we managed to escape. I threw him onto the back of my bike and rode.
Luke's P.O.V.
I was scared. It had come out of my mouth by accident. Now we were being hunted by an angry mob of Saturday School Teachers. Yikes.
He rode with such passion and determination that I couldn't help but be impressed. When they were out of sight, I took a breath of air. I knew it wasn't over, but still I had to take advantage of the fact we were alone.
He kept turning his head to look over at me. I gripped his waist and rested my head on his shoulder. The road was bumpy and the air whipping my face was cold, but he made me feel warm and happy.
He was the moon to my sun, the fire to my water. We may have been opposites, but we were attracted to each other.
His shoulder was astonishingly comfortable. I rested there a bit longer. An d lo ng e r

When I woke up, it was dark. His watch beeped then lit up.
Eight O'Clock at Night
"It's okay," he reassured me "we're stopping soon"
I looked around only to realise I had no clue as to where we were. There were trees and bush everywhere. No cars could be heard, only cicadas, crickets and the wheels flicking dirt in every direction.
He swerved to the side, pulling us to a sharp halt. He ripped off the backpack tied to the back of the bike, revealing it to be a portable tent for us to stay in. The kit also contained items such as a torch, lighter, first aid kit, compass and pocket knife. He lit a miniature fire to help us stay warm, and set up the tent for us to sleep in. I huddled in next to him. We stayed like that for a long while. A long, long while.

He fell asleep again. I carried him into the tent and lay him down with ease, attempting to not wake him. I failed. He opened his eyes, those beautiful chocolatey eyes (again, not sure what colour they actually are, but I'm going to assume it's brown) that got us here in the first place. I lay down next to him, wrapping my arms around his. He hugged me back, only kissed me on the cheek and rested his head under my chin.
I woke up. Alone.
Panicking, I scrambled to get out of the tent and look for him.
Luckily, he was right there, sitting at the edge of the lake and dipping his hand in the water to make tiny whirlpools. His knees were tucked tightly under his chin. I noticed his body slightly trembling from the crisp morning air.
"Where are we?" He asked
"In the hills," I replied "near my house"
That's how I grabbed the bag. While he was asleep I ran into the house to grab my emergency kit. Luckily no one noticed.
"Will they find us?"
"No"
"Will we go back"
"..." How do you answer a question you don't know a question to.
He stood up and walked towards me, kissing my cheek. I watched as he walked away, still in a trance from the romantic gesture.
I snapped out of it only to notice how far he'd gotten.
"W-Wait! Where are you going?" I yelled, chasing after him. I stopped after 5 metres. My legs still hurt like hell from the bike trek yesterday
"For a walk" I got nervous. Was he leaving me?
As if reading my mind, he responded.
"Don't worry, I''ll be back."
And that was that.
