"Qing Lei Hua, you dare scheme against this emperor," Emperor Wu Lian angrily shouted as he barged into her sleeping chamber.
"I never dared, your highness. I just know what your plans are," she said, void of any emotions.
That made Wu Lian eat all the words that he was aching to say.
This empress of his—he never loved even an ounce of her. Even the sons and daughters she gave him were never in his heart.
"From the first time that I gave birth to a prince to the last breath of that same prince, you never thought twice and gave the position of the crown prince to your beloved third son that your favored concubine bore," she bitterly said as she stepped closer towards him.
"All of my children were heartlessly slain by those women in the harem, but you never even gave an effort to serve them justice."
"Qing Lei Hua," he softly said.
"This Empress loves you, from the moment that I ate that poisoned pill the first time we met up until now. But do you know what's greater than my love for you, my Wu Lian? My love for the daughter and sons that you gave to me. Each and every one of them grew up looking up to you. Still, in the end, you never gave them the justice they deserve," she said, tears in her eyes, which surprised Wu Lian.
He never saw her cry, even if all her four sons and three daughters died for unknown reasons.
"Do you know why they all died? It's because the people in the palace know that you have little care for the children of the empress."
"Wu Lian! I will never give you the chance to dethrone me as your empress," she coldly said and produced a dagger from deep inside her sleeves.
"I will die an empress, and my children will forever be in the royal book."
In a blink of an eye, she stabbed herself with the dagger in her hands. Her actions were too fast for Wu Lian to stop her.
"In this lifetime, let's never meet again," she said, tears streaming down her face as she closed her eyes.
My children, Mufei will see you again.

"It's been months since that whore was in a coma! If it weren't for the child that survived in her stomach, we would've pulled out the life support she has," Mrs. Mo angrily said as she looked at the figure lying on the hospital bed.
"Mother, don't stress yourself," Qing Yu softly said.
"I wish this bitch would die so our Yu Er can successfully marry my son," Mrs. Mo tenderly said.
Suddenly, a small movement was made by the person lying on the bed.
"I'm alive?" Qing Lei Hua asked, fear forming in her heart.
She opened her eyes only to be greeted by unfamiliar surroundings. Everything was white, and there was a constant beeping that somehow comforted her.
"Where am I?"
"Let's not waste our time here, Qing Yu! Let's go," an old woman in her fifties said.
"En, let's go, mother."
When Lei Hua felt that no one was around, she tried to open her eyes once more, only to be greeted by flashes of images that felt like hers but not quite.
"What are these? Who is Xi Lei Hua?" she asked as she tried to stand up, but dizziness overpowered her, so she lay back on the bed.
"Goddess! Ms. Lei Hua?? You are alive!" a funny-looking girl dressed in white said. According to her memory, this funny-looking girl was called a nurse.
"Where am I?" she asked, her voice hoarse and her throat hurting.
"You are at X Medical Hospital, Ms. Lei Hua. This is the fourth month that you have been in a coma," the nurse gently explained as she pressed a button to call the doctor in charge of Lei Hua.
"Do you remember what happened?" the doctor asked seriously.
"Who am I?" Lei Hua asked seriously as her hand landed on her bulging stomach.
"How can this be possible?" she asked herself.
"So far, Ms. Xi's condition is stable; the baby in your stomach is in the best condition too. You fell down the stairs accidentally four months ago. Thankfully, you protected the baby in your womb, so both of you survived."
"The father of my child, who is he?" she inquired.
"I already called the person you are talking about. It's better to hear it from him," the doctor said and turned to leave.
Accidentally? Accident my mother! In her memories, she was clearly pushed off by the old woman staying in her room earlier.
"How can fate be so bitter," she said after realizing that this woman named Xi Lei Hua had the same life as hers.
She closed her eyes in tiredness as she tried to sink every memory in this body and make it hers.

"You're awake," a familiar voice that made her heart ache said.
"Wu Lian," she said in her mind. Her face paled as she saw the very familiar face staring back at her with the same cold, unloving eyes.
"Who are you?" she said as she masked her fright with coldness.
"Did my wife forget her dear husband?" he coldly said as he watched her every move.
"Husband? You're my husband?" she feigned surprise as she studied him.
Damn it! Everything is the same; even the aura is the same. What a joke!
"En, tomorrow, you'll go home," he quietly said as he helped her stand up.
"You are not my husband," she suddenly said, which surprised him.
"You don't love me," she added as she touched her chest that was beating painfully.
"I'll never marry someone who would only make a fool out of me," she coldly said.
"But you did," he replied with the same coldness.
"My heart is regretting it," she replied and pushed him away from her.
