corbyn had a great life.

he was in an extremely successful band with his best friends. hell, he lived with them and they had always had the best of times.

that was before.

before life started to get confusing and weird. before corbyn started to think.

he was in love, or he should be. christina was everything you'd want in a girl: smart, pretty, caring. something was off with them though, and corbyn didn't think it was her.

people change.

dating the same girl for two years would mean loads to someone else, but for corbyn it was taxing. he wanted to be in love with her, but every time he looked into her eyes, he saw daniels.

it was strange. it shouldn't happen, so corbyn left his life how it was. he didn't touch things that needed to be fixed. he didn't change what didn't need to be changed.

"i'm done." corbyn announced, standing up. jonah just nodded as the blond walked into the kitchen and set his plate in the sink. he looked at zach, who was stabbing his pancakes, but not eating them. "are you okay, zach?"

"oh, yeah. i'm fine." zach said, looking directly at him. he smiled, but corbyn could tell it was fake. "totally fine."

"i'm always here for you." corbyn said, leaning. his elbows on the granite of the countertops. it felt cold. the whole house felt cold. "we're all here for you."

"yeah, i know." zach said with little emotion. "daniel needs us more though."

corbyn's heart beat grew at the mention of his name. he ran a hand through his hair, trying to keep his cool. "i know."

zach looked at him with a sad smile before lowering his head to his plate, tearing away his gaze. corbyn walked out of the kitchen but halted when his phone buzzed.

it was a text from christina and he smiled, texting her back quickly. he loved her texts. he used to love her texts.

he walked upstairs, passing daniel and jack's room. the door was always closed, the hinges rusting and the doorknob dusty. daniel
never left that room anymore, only for recording and tour. corbyn missed him.

he continued onto his shared room with jonah and zach, laying down on his bed. he never slept at night, only during the day.

it's hard to sleep with guilt on your mind.
