I start loading my favorite TV show with myself snuggled up, all cozy in my small bed. "Miss, I know you're in there. I saw your lights turn on just a second ago, please open up."

Fuck, why is he back here? Oh shit, I haven't paid my rent yet. Oh my god, what am I gonna do? I literally have no money. You know what, I'll just avoid him. I mean, what's the worst that can happen?

"Miss come on, you got to open up," I heard him say again. "Please, I don't want to make this a bigger deal than it already is."

I wish I was rich, none of this would happen. I lazily slid out of bed and I slowly tiptoed to the door. Slowly and carefully, I open my door a little bit, just enough so he could get a small glimpse of my face.

I peer out the door. "Yes?" I ask him obliviously, even though I already know why he's outside of my room at 2 am.

"Cara, I know that you're not in the most perfect situation right now but I need to make a living too. If you don't pay by tomorrow, you will have to be moved out."

"Tomorrow?!" I exclaimed, "I don't get my paycheck in another 3 weeks! How do you expect me to pay by tomorrow?" Fuck fuck fuck.

"I'm really sorry miss, but there is nothing I can do about that. Your rent is already overdue by 2 months."

My mind starts going wild, with so many different thoughts that fill my brain. "Ugh, okay. Are you sure I can't have an extension? Just until I get my paycheck."

"Miss, I would love to, but-"

I let out a deep sigh. "I'll take that as a no. It's okay. I'll figure something out tonight." Shit, I'm fucked. I dragged my feet across my room and plopped on my bed. I mean, this place isn't that good, I'll just move out. Right? Who am I kidding? This place is the cheapest, decent place and I still couldn't afford it. At this rate, I can't even afford to rent a damn storage room.

I got to call Jack, shit I'm fucking doomed. I'm not going to have a place to stay anymore. Shit. Please pick up Jack, please.

"Hello?" I hear Jack sleepily whisper as he released a small yawn.

I sigh again, but this time in relief. "Thank god you're still awake," I reply with full-on excitement.

Jack annoyingly grunts through the phone. "Ugh actually, no. I was sleeping until someone, ehm, ruined my sleep. So what is it that you wanted to tell me that was apparently more important than my sleep?"

With the sweetest and cutest accent, I say, "Jack, you're my best-est friend right?"

"Ew, you sound like a dying whale. Just cut to the chase, what do you want?"

"So, I need money."

"Well I'm so sorry Cara, I just used my money to get my girlfriend a new bag."

"That chick again? Oh my god, you're fucking blind, she's a gold digger."

"How can she be a gold-digger when I'm broke," He replies sarcastically with a hint of laughter. This boy wants to square up.

"Is this funny to you? She's leeching onto you," I reply back in exasperation, "You know what, nevermind. Do you know any places I could stay in?"

"What's wrong with your place now?" Jack obliviously asked.

"I asked for money because I need to pay my monthly rent. Well more like my monthly rent that was due 2 months ago."

"Oh,"

"Do you know any places? Anything is fine."

"Oh! I actually know one, it's this share apartment. It's a couple blocks away from our university but I don't know much about the owner. Wait, give me a second, I'll ask my friend about the place."

"Jack thank you so much, you're a lifesaver."
