Chapter 3- Bad News

As I woke up the next morning I smelled pancakes. I totally forgot I was in Austin's house. When I opened my eyes I saw Austin without a shirt on bringing me pancakes and juice. I almost got distracted by his shirtlessness and almost dropped my juice. As I sat up my head hurt from crying all day yesterday. "A-Austin?" I said stuttering. "Yes Bri?" "How is my mom have you heard from the doctor yet?" "Bri.... I have some news you may not like... Your mom didn't make it they couldn't save her in time... I'm so sorry." he said slowly. I looked at him and tears started falling down my face. He sat next to me and hugged me and told me it'll be okay I'm here. In a way he did make me feel better but how could I lose my mom she was my best friend. "Austin don't leave me please." I said with a sobbing voice. "Believe me I won't I'm right here with you." he said hugging me. I heard many foot steps coming down the hallway and I didn't know who it was. They approached the room it was Alex, Robert, and Zach. "Austin who is this girl and why is she here." Robert asked curiously. "Her name is Bri I found her crying at the hospital yesterday and I couldn't leave her there by herself." Austin said. "Well okay." Robert said. "Austin.. I have a question?" I said nervously. "Yes Bri?" he said. "Can my friends Chloe, Bella, and Becca come over they'll keep me company." I said still nervously. "As much as I like keeping you company I guess they can come over." he said laughing. I texted the girls and told them all about it and where I am and I invited them over and of course they knew where he lived because they loved Austin too. They arrived within minutes and I ran outside and hugged them and started crying. "What's wrong Bri?" Becca asked. "Austin told me this morning that my mom didn't make it they couldn't help her in time." I said crying. They all ran in and hugged me tighter. "C'mon inside guys." I said. I led them inside as they walked in Austin and his friends were greeting us at the door. "Austin,Alex,Robert,Zach these are my friends Chloe, Becca, and Bella." I said happily. They all said nice to meet you and smiled. As we walked more into the condo Austin stopped and then we all ran into him and fell. We ended up all on the floor laughing because of it. "Guys I made so much pancakes please eat I can't let these pancakes go to waist." Austin said. We all went to the table and ended up eating pancakes. Even though my mom died I have Austin and his friends and my friends to keep me company at least for now.
