New school

~Jerome's pov~

        I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring in my ear it was the first day of my new school. I had just moved for the first time in my life and to be honest I was worried. I had never been to a school where I didn't know anyone.

        I stretched as I got out of bed I grabbed a white t-shirt off of my chair along with a pair of dark blue jeans. I slipped them on and strung my belt through the rings, then tightened it to outline my skinny waist. Then I ran down stairs following the smell of fresh banana chocolate chip muffins.

        "Good morning" my mom called to me as I passed her in the laundry room.

        "Morning" I responded quickly as I walked to the kitchen eager to sink my teeth into a warm muffin. I sat down at the kitchen table and pulled a muffin out of the tray. I blew on it to cool it down then bit the top off revealing a tiny army of chocolate chips.

        "Morning son" I heard from behind me.

        "Mrnng dd" I muffled chewing my muffin. He smiled and grabbed one as well.

        "I'll see ya later pal, good luck at school today" then he kissed my mom goodbye and with that he was out the door. I herd his car engine as he pulled out of the driveway. Then I continued eating my muffin.

~Mitch's pov~

        Today was the first day of school I've been going to school here for 3 years. 7th 8th and 9th grade. It's the first day of 10th grade.

        "What I would do for it to be the last day of school right now" I mumbled to myself.        

        I grabbed a white t-shirt out of the closet and threw it on with a dark pair of jeans. As I walked out my bedroom door I snatched my red and black plaid jacket off my swivel chair and started down the stairs.

        I have mastered rushing out of the door before school so my dad doesnt get a beating on me. today i was hoping I wouldnt walk into school with a black eye. I grabbed a peice of toast and my lunch money off of the table and quickly walked twords the door. I started for the handle when I felt a heavy hand grab my shoulder. I winced and slowly turned around expecting a blow to the face. I opened my eyes to see it wasnt my dad but my mom. Releif flowed through me and I smiled.

        "I thought you were dad" I giggled. She smiled before responding, "Did you get the toast?" she questioned. I held up the golden brown bread and took a bite of it. "good" she smiled, "your father wont be home afterschool today so you dont have to go to Avery's" "Ok" I responded. She smiled but I could see the worry in her eyes.

        I gave my mom a hug, slipped on my KD's and slid out the door with my toast in hand. "Thank God" I mumbled, my heart still pounding from the missunderstanding. I hopped on my skateboard and rode off to the school.
