Peter quill was just a Terran since all his celestial power s were stripped after his fathers death.For peter he always thought of this even before he found out he had power he always saw it as a flaw he never told any of his teammates and kept that to himself. Though to his teammates he wasn't just Terran they looked up to Peter and admired him. Though before Egos sudden appearance they did witness peter have 3 bad colds that caught them all off guard. They never new you could get sick out of the blue with out it meaning you were gonna die. So the first time Peter got the cold he tried to hide it and he hid it pretty well until his fever made him loose his balance during a job and collapse face first into the dirt. That freaked out Rocket so bad he thought he was shot. Since they didn't have the medicine Peter needed his condition took a while to get back to normal and it made the guardians worry for the first time that peter didn't need to get shot or stabbed to die. The second time Drax was with Peter shopping for supplies and he noticed he was more quite than usual but didn't say anything only getting a few words out of peter. Drax has taken note of peters lack of appetite from the day before and questioned him on the walk back. Peter just shrugged saying he wasn't that hungry. Then later that day when he told Gamora and rocket they forced him to eat something noticing how pale he was but not realizing that they only made home feel more like shit. And not long after Peter had to run to the bathroom and throw up all night and gag for the next 18 hours. Then having a fever once again leaving them shaken to see their captain in so much discomfort and pain. The third time he was with his team and they were finishing up a job where they all got wet right as they where leaving and had to walk back to the Milano that was a good 5 mile walk curtesy to Rocket for blowing up their transportation car. But Peter was the only one shaking like crazy feeling every rain drop as cold sharp pin drilling his body. Unfortunately Drax never had a shirt and was never really fazed by the weather as was Groot and Rocket. Gamora did have a jacket on but it would be to small to even try to cover Peter. Peter eventually fell back to cold to keep up with his teammates big urgent steps. He would try to run to keep up. At one point Groot noticed his struggle and alerted Rocket who turned around to see Peter that he wrapped his arms around his chest and was soaked to the bone dripping water and shivering. He fell back and ran to Peter catching Drax and Gamoras attention and also back tracked to Peter who was to busy looking at the floor as he walked and slammed into Drax. They asked if he was ok but he just shook his head not trusting himself to talk knowing he might throw up since he did wake up that morning not feeling so good. Since they were only a mile away he convinced them he didn't need to be carried and they finally reached he Milano. Where Peter left his trail of water to his room where he quickly ran to the bathroom and stripped drying himself and throwing on his sleep ware and covering himself with his thick blanket trying to control his shivering. When Gamora went to check up on him she was worried by how much he was shivering he usually looked so big and strong but at that moment he was pale and looked small. Peter didn't complain when Gamora came back with some extra blankets she had and one that Drax gladly gave to keep his friend warm. Gamora then happy with a not shivering peter that knocked out left. But due to the cold and wet he did catch another fever with a horrible cough and congestion that worried the gaurdians so much they went to. Doctor who specialized in Terran biology and gave them medicine to help keep the fever down and help the cough. Peter was down for a good week. The cough lingered for. Good month after making them more protective over their Terran leader.
