KittyKatYumi: kk tyt <3

I, Kitty Kat, otherwise known as Kayti, waited for BabeMagnet, or as I called him- by his name- so that not to send out the wrong message to girls at school Aleks, for 15 minutes. After waiting patiently- patiently as in messaging him “wher’d u go” in 7 different languages I found off Google for a project my Freshman year without reply- I decided I’d given him a decent amount of time to either, (a) get caught and kicked out of the house to mow the lawn, leaving his phone on his bed, or (b) fall to sleep while his mom was in the room, leaving his phone pinging under his pillow as I messaged him. He was a ditz so I should probably stick with “b”, his mom’s not likely to kick him out of the house anyway on account of, he’s a momma’s-boy.

“Well I’m not going to sit here and wait for him to finish whatever he’s doing, might as well start one ‘How was your summer’ essay…” I thought to myself.

I never really understood what the teachers want from us when they assign those…I mean, obviously everyone’s summer was a bummer considering the fact that it’s a small town and no one announced their leaving this pit hole all school year long, although there were scattered murmurs about wanting to “get the * out before college”, but who’s complaining! (Other than everyone…)

I was typing my essay and all of a sudden I heard a knock, “What do you want Jer, im studying,” I called out.

“Told you, schools not even here yet and…” I heard my brother Jeremy saying.

“Yea, yea, I know. You know what, thanks for escorting me in and out and through the house Jeremy. See you later, kid.” Well maybe there was a “c” to the options of his no-reply-reason. I smiled as Aleks walked in and closed the door behind him.

“Hey, so we can’t IM or text anymore? We have to talk in person?” I joked.

“Actually my mom kicked me out and told me to come here to bring your mom a dish she borrowed,” he shrugged, “Sure beats mowing the lawn. What you up to?” (So it was partially “a”.)

“Summer essay.”

“Already?”

“Better early than late.” I replied.

I’m lying that’s what I wish I would have heard when the door opened, even though Jer’s voice was there, instead I heard my mom sobbing quietly. She walked in and sat on my bed beside me taking the laptop off my lap and putting it on the desk to her left then she hugged me so hard I thought I might die. (Oh! Bad choice of words…)
