chapter 5

(Snow's P.O.V.)
The next morning, when I woke up as in a dark room, in a large bed. My head was killing me.
" You're awake huh?"
I turned my head. There stood the mask man from before. Then I remembered what happened before I was knocked out.
" Masky, is that you?"
He sighed, taking off  his mask. I was right. He looked at me with pity in his eyes.
" I'm sorry, Snow. I should have told you but I didn't."
I glared at him.
" Mind telling me what is going on now?"
He sighed.
" Okay, you deserve a explanation."
I sat up and waited for him to speak.
He took in a deep breath, then spoke.

" I'm a proxy for the create known as the Slenderman. I do any and everything he asks of me. I've been a proxy for him for years now."
He paused for a moment.
" Then you came along."
I was quiet.
" What do you mean?"
He looked at the ground, then looked back up at me.
" Snow, I've been watching you for a while. Almost 3 years now. I couldn't bring myself to hurt you, just like I couldn't bring myself to talk to you, up until now."
He chuckled, but it was hollow.
" I truly am a coward."

He looked away from me, as if he couldn't bring himself to look me in the eye.
" I'm sorry." He whispered.

My heart broke. There was so much sadness in his voice. I cupped his cheeks and made him look at me. He looked at me. It looked like he was fighting back tears. I smiled at me.
" Why are you crying?"
He was quiet.
" Y-you don't hate me?"
I pulled him in a hug.
" Of course I don't hate you."

He held me tight in his arms, and buried his face in my shoulder. I then heard him cry soon after. After a while, he pulled away. I wiped his tears away. He then pulled me into a kiss. My eyes went wide. He pulled away and placed his forehead on mine.
" Snow?"
" Y-Yeah Masky?"
" I love you."
My heartbeat increased.
" I-I love you too."

He hugged me again. We pulled away from each other, and he helped me up. We left the room and went downstairs. I then heard a deep, dark voice.
" I see she's up, Masky." I turned around and saw a tall faceless man in a black suit behind me.

I looked up at him wide-eyed.
He put out his hand and I took it.
" It's nice to meet you miss Snow. I'm know as Slenderman."
I smiled at him.
" Nice to meet you too."
We let go of each other's hands and he walked off into the kitchen.
" He'll make breakfast, so don't worry." Masky smiled.
" He is so cool."

I then heard Slender laugh.
" You better hold on to her Masky!" He called.
Masky laughed.
" Yes sir!" He called back.
He turned to me.
" I think you're going to fit right in."

I smiled.
" Thanks Masky."
