I press my hand against the barrier. It's still just as solid as- no, wait. My hand gives slightly on the barrier, then it's solid again.
It's fading, which means whoever hid her hasn't been here recently enough to put the wards back up. The thing is, I don't know why they'd hide a human, and if they were, what were the measures they were taking to make sure she stayed hidden outside of the home? A cloaking spell would be hard to maintain, especially at a distance. And I hadn't seen anything that would be a cloaking device. Well, actually.
I remember when I'd picked her up to get her inside the building, there was a necklace around her neck that had a brilliant blue stone in it. I hadn't thought anything of it when I'd seen it, but I noticed it was the only clean thing on her. Almost too clean.
So who is she hiding from and why? It's not whoever's in the house, the only things that could get through those wards are humans and normal animals.
I sigh, frustrated, and seeing that she isn't here, I turn and head back to the abandoned building. No point in me trying to find her I guess. She clearly doesn't want me to find her and I need to respect that.
I was just hoping I could help her like I did Jasmine. I was also kind of hoping for a friend. Being out here by yourself was lonely. I don't get how Sarah could do that. Maybe she was just used to it.
The sun is going to be up soon, I may as well try and sleep again. I'm just passing an alley when I'm suddenly thrown by an invisible force into it. I slam sideways into one of the walls, the bricks cutting straight through my shirt. Huge scrapes cut into my skin, just barely bleeding. I get up off of the ground and look up to see who it is and if I'd been human, I'm sure my heart would have stopped.
Standing directly in front of me is a man who has brown hair and brilliant red eyes. He has an all too familiar sword in his hands. The same one that gave me the scar down my back. The same sword I see in my dreams, with it's black hilt and silver blade.
"Father, what the hell are you doing here?" I say, slightly louder than I would have liked and my voice high with fear. Drake, my father. The same man who destroys whole cities just for the fun of it.
"Oh, I was just wondering how much havoc I could wreak on this little town when I saw you having a stroll. Thought I'd have a bit of fun killing you," Drake says, his voice taking on a psychotic, evil tone to it. He smiles, his eyes seeming to flash a brighter crimson. I growl at him.
"Haven't you done enough?" I ask him, my voice sounding almost whiny and childish to me. I had been hoping to sound tougher than I did.
"Nope!" He smirks, and as he says this, he throws me back again with an invisible force. I slam into the far wall, almost hitting the two boxes stacked at the end. I gag, coughing up blood and stand up. My vision suddenly blackens.

I hear a dull slam of somebody hitting the ground. I groan and move the top box just enough to see through a crack. I peek through.
Alexander is standing at the end of the alley, talking to a brown haired man that looks like him. His brilliant red eyes practically shine in the darkness. My eyes widen.
"Father, haven't you done enough?" Alexander says, his voice sounding shrill and scared. So this man was his father. I remember what Alexander said when he was asleep. His father must have done something related to that dream that terrified Alexander.
"Nope!" The man says. At the same time, Alexander flies right at the wall next to me, nearly slamming into me. I stifle a yelp and watch as he stands. He seems confused for a second, then falls back down, unconscious. I look back at the man.
