How could she...

*Third POV*

Ayano was walking to school with a never ending smile on her face. She was skipping with glee and could be seen holding a letter. Some thought it was from her, others to her.

"Is that really Ayano?"

"Wow! She looks so cute like that..."

"The cutesy smile suits her well!"

Are the types of things Ayano would hear, but she couldn't care less about what they said. It was Friday, and she was going to confess to her senpai.

"Ayano......" A voice made her stop skipping. She looked over her shoulder and saw Oko wide eyed.

"W-why are you carrying that letter?" Oko asked, venom laced in his voice. Ayano knew why he asked this, so she told him a lie.

"I got it from some guy. I don't like him though." Oko nodded and walked off, making Ayano sigh in relief.

"He acts kinda strange......" Ayano muttered before skipping once more.

"Yan-chan!" Another voice called out to her, making her groan in annoyance.

"Kokona-chan?" The twin drilled type female nodded.

"Who's that letter for? I know no one would write you something like that. No offence!" Ayano chuckled. She thinks she can trust this girl, so she tells her some secrets sometimes.

"No offence taken. I wrote this to my senpai! I'm finally going to confess to him!" Ayano smiled at the girl, making the other smile in return.

"Well good luck Yan-chan!" Kokona walked off towards her girlfriend Saki and tretched forward.

Ayano sighed once more and just walked towards school with a smile still on her face.

"Senpai, you are my senpai, you give me doki's! And shades of gray~! You haven't noticed me, but I still love you.

Please don't take, my senpai away." Ayano sang out. She finally put the letter in his locker and ran off before anyone could see her.

Sadly though, Oko saw the whole thing. 'I knew it. Why would anyone like me anyways?' Oko thought, walking towards the roof to weep.

Oko, no longer had that flare that ignited inside him when he would kill his rivals. This was different to him. The girl he loved was in love with another, and he knew he couldn't force himself upon her like others have done.

"Ayano......" Oko opened up his spell book and started searching for something that had caught his eye earlier.

Bad luck:

If you get a lock of the person's hair and burn it with special herbs, they will have bad luck for the whole day. If you want to make their bad luck permanent, then you'll need some of their blood.

The special herbs are basil and aregano.

"Perfect....." Oko muttered. He always had a candle on him so he chanted a spell so it would catch fire. He quickly ran towards the now shut down cooking club and found the herbs.

He ran back on the roof and got out one last ingredient.

Ayano's hair.

He put all of the ingredients onto the candle and watched them burn.

'Please work. I don't want to lose her.'

The day was finally over, and Ayano couldn't be happier. She dashed out of the classroom and towards the cherry tree.

She didn't have to wait for her senpai long for she already heard him come up the hill.

"Umm...... You were the one who wanted to talk to me? What about?" Ayano blushed a cherry red before starting.

"I-I really like you, and I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me..." Ayano mumbled, although Taro still heard her.

"Are you kidding?! Why would I go out with someone like you?! You're so creepy!" Taro walked off leaving Ayano heartbroken. Oko had watched from afar with a sad expression.

"I'm sorry Ayano, I just couldn't let you go."

⚠warning! Angst up ahead⚠

Ayano was literally running towards the roof. She was nothing without her senpai, if she couldn't have him, then what's the use in living?

It was dark by now and the sky was full of stars.

Ayano had taken off her shoes after she wrote her note.

I'm sorry everyone, but without my senpai, I don't know what I am.
                        -Ayano Aishi

She stood up on the railing about to jump when she heard footsteps. She turned herself around and saw that Oko was running towards her with a pained expression.

"Oko, don't the stars look lovely tonight?" She started crying when she fell backwards off the roof.

"Of course they do, of course they do!" Oko tried to catch the falling girl but missed by an inch.

"NO!! THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANTED!" Oko yelled out crying rivers of tears.

The last thing he saw was a smile.

Her smile.
