A.N. I'm sorry I wanted fluff. This is pure fluff. There is literally nothing but fluff in this chapter.
The first group meeting of the superheroes under Marinette's rood was....different. Well, it wasn't actually under her roof. The first half was on the balcony, with blankets forming a sort of fort to cover from prying eyes. Marinette planned to take the blankets in and watch a TV Show and watch a movie inside when it got later (and colder!).
Carapace arrived first, so Marinette and Nino spent the first few minutes carefully moving in and out of the fort to gather beanbags, chairs, snacks, and drinks. Nino was mistrustful of the fort, but he relaxed slightly when he saw that it didn't immediately fall. To be fair, it was Marinette's first time building a fort outdoors and she managed to create a very unsteady, but functional covering.
When Volpina arrived Nino became more guarded and settled with quietly bustling around Marinette's room until he could snag the civilian girl's attention from "Vola".
"Hey dudette, could you help me get this chair onto the balcony?" Nino touched the smiling girl's arm, but she shook her head.
"I should go start another batch of cookies. How about you get Vola to help you?" She nodded at the fox girl, who was looking uncertainly at the two of them. "You guys are superheroes. Wouldn't she have more muscle mass than I do?" Nino didn't really like it, but Marinette had a point.
Of course, Marinette had baked enough stuff already, but wanted an excuse to get the two heroes more comfortable together. After all , the blue-eyed girl thought, they're dating in real life! Why should they be uncomfortable and competitive with each other in costume and relaxed and lovey-dovey with each other out?
Marinette got Tikki some cookies from the last batch and got her situated safely in another room. When she came back, she found that her plan had worked well. Alya and Nino joked with each other like they had previously on patrol, their territorial instincts over Marinette gone. Of course, everyone was back on guard as soon as the other two superheroes arrived.
Queen Bee came with sparkling cider, looking resplendent with extra makeup and even more flowery perfume wafting from her. Chat Noir had been on patrol alone when he saw her heading over and checked the time. Marinette used the same technique for getting them to loosen up as before, dividing and conquering. She joked with each of them and tried to break the ice by getting two heroes together to perform menial tasks together.
"C'mon Avengers, time to regroup! Into the Stark Tower!" Marinette laughed at her own cheesy joke and shepherded everyone proudly into the wonky fort.
Eventually everyone settled into the fort, where it quickly became hot and stuffy under the thick blankets and the hot sun. Chat Noir, wearing black leather, felt the worst of it and tried to create a break in the bedspreads to help cool air flow in. But he was a smol, sheltered child and didn't know that the place he chose to create the gap in would destabilize and knock all of the fort down with him.
"Wah!" Chat fell backwards under a pile of collapsed blankets and sticks, legs bent awkwardly beneath him. Queen Bee narrowly escaped with her dignity and watched in horror as the rest of the fort began to sag.
Marinette ignored the swaying remains of the fort and rushed to Chat's section, laughing as she yanked the hand-knitted quilt off him. Then they were both buried under the rest of the once-fort. Marinette, pressed against Chat's side, struggled to the surface and pulled the blankets off her partner so he could breathe.
"You okay?" She asked. Chat groaned and shook off the heavy cloth. Then, after flopping down on the mound in defeat, he muttered.
"You should rescue the others. If their blankets were as thick as ours I doubt they can breathe well."
The girl rushed past Chloe, who had fought herself free and was laughing hysterically, and dug to find Alya and Nino. She heard Alya from the curses coming from under a black comforter and a warm pink mantle and cleared a breathing hole for her before diving into the mound of colorful veils and huge stuffed animals to find Nino. Carapace was sheltered under his shield, the turtle shell giving him an air pocket.
Nino looked up at her and said dryly, "My savior.''
The girl in question laughed and grabbed him by the arms.

The five friends huddled together inside, sipping warm hot cocoa with lots of cinnamon, sugar, and in Queen Bee's case, honey (which seems kinda gross but no accounting for taste). All was silent for a bit, but Alya soon became sick of the quiet.
"Well, that was an adventure." Volpina's voice was amused. Her fox tail twitched in agreement.
Heads bobbed in agreement, and Marinette laughed. "I guess my dream of being an architect is ruined." That got a few chuckles.
Chat spoke up. "Can I build on that statement?"
Nino groaned.
"No you can't." Alya shoved him good-naturedly and Adrien shoved her back. They continued until Nino sat between them, not letting them do anything more but pout at each other childishly.
"Children, children, behave!" Chloe spoke like a schoolteacher reprimanding two kindergarteners. Then she winked at the cat across from her, and he took it as a cue to act irresponsible.
Several "temper tantrums" and a scolding later, Chat Noir sat down, fake sulking.
The banter continued long into the night until it was time for Marinette to "sleep" and Queen Bee to go on patrol with Ladybug.
