"Are you ok" said jake

I wasn't really listening I was trying to figure out what was going on. Then he brushed my hair out of my face and pushed me into a hug. He could tell I was about to cry because my eyes started to tear up.

"What's going on" I asked

"I'm not quite sure I got a call so I went to come to investigate when I saw the ambulance go down your street I rushed to your house right away".

Jake was a police officer so he had to come.

"Why are you so upset" Jake asked

"My sister lives their" I said.

After I said that he didn't reply then he had to go. All I could see was a body in a bag being carried to the ambulance. As soon as I could move I ran to the body being rushed to the ambulance on the bed. I grabbed her hand and started to cry Jake pulled me away and hugged me again.

"It's ok" Jake said combing through my hair.

"I have to go with her"

"Ok I will drive you their but first you might want to get some clothes on"

Then I realized I was still in my pj's. I ran in the house then put on some clothes I locked the door then when't in the car.

"Drive" I said. When we got to the hospital I went to the counter and I asked.

"Is Jane in here"

"Yes are you here to see her" the lady at the counter said.

"I need to go see her"

"Not right now she's in the ER". When she said that I wasn't paying attention I wanted to go see her. So I started to walk to the door when Jake took me by the hand.

"We need to sit down and wait for her to call us" he said then we when't to sit down.

"Emily Barker" said the doctor

"Yes" I said

"Jane can see you know". I stood up then followed the doctor to her room. Jake was with me and holding my hand.

"Who's this" said Jane

"My boyfriend Jake" I said

"Hello it's very nice to meet you" said Jake we'll shaking her hand. Then he got a call and had to leave.

"I'm gonna stay here" I said then I sat on the chair beside her bed.

"Ok I will see you on Friday" said Jake

"Please come tomorrow"

Before he could say anything the heart monitor started beeping really fast then beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. I yelled for a doctor then I heard. beep beep beep beep and a gasp for air. Then the doctors came and made sure she was ok.

"Where's my baby,where's Chloe" said Jane

"She's in a special care centre in the hospital" said the doctor

"I need to see her" then Jane started to get up.

"I will go check on her lay back down" I said.

"Thank you" Jane said "we're did Jake go"

"He had to go the police station called him in"

"Is everything ok"

"I think he had to go back to your house to find some more evidence they might have found the guy who did it"

"I hope they......did"

"Get some rest" I said as I walked out the door. When I got to the special care centre I looked in the window. She had burns on her legs,on her face and on her arms. They had a oxygen mask on her mouth and a iv putting blood in her body.

"Are you her mom?" asked the doctor from the special care centre.

"No I'm her aunt her moms in the hospital to" I said

" Ok I will tell you everything then you can report it back to her"

"Ok"

"She has third degree burns. She's having trouble breathing and she lost a lot of blood. We're monitoring her she might not make it. I told my sister and she tried to leave the doctors had to pin her down. Then the doctor came running down the hall

"Come with me" the doctor said

I followed the doctor to the special care centre.

"What's going on" I said

"We have a few complications" said the nurse from the special care centre. "Her heart isn't working properly and theirs a few broken bones"

"Will she be ok"

"She will but she'll need a new heart"

"Ok then give her one"

"We're not sure she's strong enough for the surgery"

"I will go ask her mom" I said then ran down the hall to go to her room the door was closed and their was doctors outside the room.

"What's going on?" I asked

"We just told her who was in the bag"
