"ahaha yeah."
youngjae awkwardly laughed.

"are you okay?"
jaebum asked, feeling worried.

"yeah, i'm fine."
youngjae replied in a high pitched voice.

he continued to smile even though it was obvious that he was holding his tears back.

"no, you're going to cry."
jaebum pointed out and started to lean forward.

"nah, i'm fine."
youngjae persuaded him but actually persuading himself.

"shit, now i feel bad."
jaebum murmured to himself quite loudly.

that broke youngjae even more.

"aha, what's there to feel bad about? you're over us already right?"
as these words came out of his mouth, the tears were threatening to spill.

jaebum nodded, eyeing youngjae.

seeing jaebum nod made him realise that maybe jaebum didn't really love him.

"can we go? i need to be home by 4.30pm to feed coco."

"okay."

as they walked back, youngjae remained mostly silent letting jaebum know he isn't okay

jaebum only said

before the train doors closed.
