The moon hung high in the sky and the sent of chocolate and honeysuckle engulfed Gadriel and the tension in his body eased. "I thought I'd find you up here." Gadriel turned and gave his best friend a warm smile. " You always know where to find me Luv." She walked up to him and pressed her lips against his. His body heated up and he groaned when she pulled away. They starred into each other's eyes. Luv's were filled with worry and fear. "What's wrong?" Gadriel asked as he stroked her cheek.

"Do you have to go?"

Gadriel was confused for awhile and then understood Luv's words. He cupped her cheeks. "My angel I have to. God called upon me to lead this mission." She shook her head. "No you don't have to. You didn't have to accept yet you did. Gadriel you could die or worse." Gadriel took a deep breath. "Luv, I'm as scared as you are. This...this is a huge mission and I know the possible outcomes. I need you to help me stay strong and right now you're failing."

"Gadriel how can I stay strong knowing that my best friend and lover might not come back when he leaves tomorrow."

"Have faith Luv. Have faith in me and stop worrying your making my fear worse."

Tears streamed down her face and she wrapped her arms around Gadriel's waist. "I don't want to lose you." He rubbed her back and placed a soft kiss on her temple. "Sh, don't worry my precious angel you shall see me again, I promise."
